Top 3 false dawns 18:19 - Jul 22 with 1313 viewsPatfromPoole

1. Chelsea 0 Saints 1 - 2023

2. Saints 2 Liverpool 0 - 2005 (thrashing the team who would end the season European champs but we still went down)

3. Saints 4 Birmingham 3 - 2006 (we thought we were going to romp the Championship with Burley’s team getting loads of goals…)

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

1.Beating promotion chasing Reading away 2008/09 season 2-1.
A cracker from Bradley WP and we all thought Poortvliet's total football was a dream come true.

2. Smashing Preston 3-1 at home later that season, on the day of the "Lowe must go" protests.
Wotte-ball was going save us from relegation.

3. We're gonna win the league. Nicholls great side of 88/89. Le Tiss, Rod Wallace and Shearer.. The three musketeers.

Ah your number 3. That season Nichol wanted Dave McPherson a hearts centreback and Alan mclloughlin an attacking midfielders. He believes if we got them we would be title contenders. Unfortunately they could never agree a fee with Hearts and never played Mcloughlin in his favoured position

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?
