He is not JWP or a Romeu Saint22. He is an average player in a below average team that is consumately poor at defending, ineffective in midfield and largely toothless in attack. Add into the mix the constant recruitment of managers that appear tactically inept and incompetent in coaching.

We are a mess of a club on the pitch. Every manager has a bad result now and then but we just have one after another.

I am at a loss where we go from here.

Not to worry fellas. He's only signed a new 3 year contract.

It's not as if he's a bad player. With a bit more support he could be half decent. But as saint22 says, our current midfield is too lightweight.

There is no experience or leadership in the team. With a Milner type player alongside him marshalling the midfield Smallbone could develop into a decent player.
