5 Things About Preston 13:25 - Oct 26 with 1219 viewsSaintNick

1. Butter pie, did anyone try one it didn't sound too healthy to me

2. The Floodlights, they were appalling and when they had bright electronic advertising hoardings flashing you could barely see the other end of the pitch.

3. What was that thing going on to our right when some fella gave a couple of flags to some teenage kids and they spent 15 minutes stood at the front waving them at us and trying to wind us up.

4. They did go on a bit about being Invincibles pre match, It was a ll a bit Pompeyish when you consider they only won the league twice, the last time in 1889/90 and since then just an FA Cup win in 1938.

5. The people were friendly but it was a bit of a funny place

1. Didn't bother.

2. Can't say i paid too much attention to the floodlights. But i was impressed with the ground layout . The concourse in the away end was the roomiest i've been in . Appreciate that we didn't take anywhere near the full allocation, but even so..

3.Do you mean those fellas on our right. Didn't get it.

4. Completely agree. It was like the whole club was stuck in a time warp.

5.I thought their fans were rubbish. Only made a noise when they scored. They could learn a lesson or two from The Saints fans last night.

1/ No Pies for us, but plenty of decent Pints in The Winckley St Ale House and Black Horse
2/ The lack of Scoreboard/Clock did my head in. Had no idea the 90 mins were already up when the 6 mins injury time board came up
3/ Didn't notice the flag thing, or hear a whisper from the home crowd. Great support away support, although a bit subdued by the 2 goals, but treated to the crazy mad last min goal right in front of us again
4/ Didnt see any pre match stuff, timed our hike from pub to ground perfectly and arrived just before ko. What was very skate like was some winker banging a drum in their end
5/Barely saw any Preston Fans pre or post match but some friendly ones in pub. Seemed quite normal after sampling the delights of Wigan on the way up to Preston

There was a clock on the top of the stand to our left, but it was just a normal one with hands rather than digital so hard to tell when the game had kicked off and how long left etc

I'm beginning to worry about you.

You don't seem to know your left from your right.
