Surely there is an easy explanation. Since Ralf left SR has employed (I may be losing count) five different managers, two of whom have not played the game professionally and none has graced the Premier League.
How could any one of them improve a player who is better than they ever were? Which one of them was ever going to stand up to SR and risk losing the best paid job he will ever have?
It's no wonder we don't sign good players; they wouldn't come under the present regime! | | | |
