City just went ahead and started construction work as soon as PL season ended.

City refused. Game rearranged about 3 weeks late and only 2 days notice given
to the fans.
The game was played at the training game in front of a paltry crowd of about 750, including me, 3 other Northern Saints and a north based London Saint, plus a couple of the lads families.
