Yeah they have exciting talent for sure. It just seems that similar sized clubs to us manage to keep their stars better than we do which I find annoying. I think palace and Brighton retain stars better than us. I think Bournemouth will suffer in the summer though . |

They have just eased past Fulham in the quarterfinals without breaking sweat. They Look very very good, excellent passing, quick movement and brilliant finishing. They remind me of how we were when we finished top 8 four years running, before we sold everything in sight of course. It’s The Southampton Way .
How do they manage to keep all their stars ? Fair play to them.
I think they had an offer from Newcastle of around 90 million for their centre back in the summer and they turned it down. That has never happened here and never will. [Post edited 29 Mar 15:49]

Half time refreshments served by staff walking around the pitch .At the dell it was CF and ALY ,both good lads,well not lads now ffs.
That smell of linament , loved it .
Youngsters standing on wooden boxes so they could see properly.

Yes I saw the video, just throwing chairs at each other which is wrong of course but very heavy sentences. I also know one of the guys involved, looks like it happened next to Oxford street . |

Ahh the noise . You’re all excited bless you. You’ve been bargain basement for so long that when you play clubs like Leeds it’s a real big deal for you whereas we’ve played all the big boys many times , the novelty sort of wears off a bit. Who can forget the Thierry Henry Farce where you chanted his name after he destroyed you , how embarrassing was that .
Don’t forget 130 theres not many clubs that can boast the amount of years we’ve been top flight. It’s really no big deal for us. [Post edited 14 Mar 23:01]

Exactly this. I don’t want any club of similar stature to us winning anything anytime soon. Why should they get away with being stripped to the bare bones like we have over the years. When are Bournemouth and Brighton having their fire sales ? |

Agree Grumpy. We’re never going to get a big name because we wont pay for it and who would want to come here anyway with the state the clubs in.? I’m not sure what some people expect. We have had a massive fall from grace and we need to rebuild and as you say it will take time. |

Why don’t you go in the Wednesday board and see what they think of him ?
They haven’t been in a position like this for years. They are a massive club with no money and Danny Rohl is working well with the tools he has at his disposal and is considered by many to be a great upcoming talent. Spors rates him highly he’s worked with him before. I’m sure you know best. I remember you were also against RM being appointed before a ball was kicked then he got us promoted last season .
