What RM said to the press after the game and what he said to the players in the dressing are two different things…I hope. I commend him for sticking up for the players in public as this defeat sits squarely with the manager.
Games are won and lost in midfield and he substituted 3 of our 4 starting midfielders. To me this says he has no clue what his best team or how to set up his team to play his one style of play. A manager who is unable to adapt his style to the players he has at his disposal is on borrowed time in the championship… |

There needs to be a massive autopsy at the end of the season and blame needs to be laid at the feet of those responsible, mainly due to the sheer number of major mistakes that have been made since SR took over but also to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We need to learn and quickly, not just accept it and move on to the next mistake.
You’re right Nick we did recover after 2005 but only after flirting with bankruptcy. |

I don’t feel sorry for Selles, he was arrogant enough to think he was ready to manage a team in the prem, his cv definitely didn’t suggest he was ready. I’m sure the millions he will receive from SR will soften the blow when he’s unemployed.

Spot on Nick, totally agree with your analysis. Although, I’m not sure if we have talented group or not anymore, it’s been a while since that talent was on display.
The thing that disappoints me most (and there are lots to choose from) is that we all know we struggle for goals, so we buy a centre forward with a record of scoring goals (albeit in a lower league) and then we don’t change our style of play to suit him. Where is the leadership and the courage to move away from the system that has failed us all season and try something different. What’s the worst that can happen? I’d rather we lose the remaining games with a gung-ho attitude rather than the damp squib that is currently being served up every week |

We have scored 23 goals in 29 league games, it doesn’t matter how good your defence is (and ours is shite) you won’t get many points if you score so few goals. “Instead of placing Selles in charge in November while they assessed the options…†the scary thing is they did assess the options and decided that Jones was a perfect fit, hence the 3.5 year contract.
There is now even more pressure for SR to get the next appointment right.
Agreed with Felly that we should use the rest of the season as a free hit then start again in the summer with a new manager who can assess what’s left of our current squad. |

I really hope you have some inside information about this proven striker that we’re buying in January because it seems that our whole season hinges on it.
Call me a cynic, but I’d be surprised if there was a proven striker out there who would be willing to join a relegation battle and that their club would be willing to sell.
I think we have to look to the squad of players we have for answers to our lack of goals, a hero needs to step forward, and soon. |

Everyone is entitled to express their opinion but keep it to social media. If you are going to the game you should always support the team until the final whistle…especially when we are winning!
Save the criticism for after the final whistle but don’t undermine the players’ fragile confidence during a game! Makes no sense!
It was apparent the players were desperate to win against Bournemouth and were playing with fear, supporters can really help by getting behind the team. |

We should of kept hold of Romeu, our summer transfer policy was fundamentally flawed, too pre-occupied with potential sell-on value and forgot that staying in the PL is the first priority.
Ralph has to go but I think the lack of a proven striker will mean we’ll struggle to stay up this season whoever is in charge… |
