We have three International strikers surely that is the correct number .

In general two of them have performed poorly I am not sure if Long has actually scored this season and Rodriques has missed a few.

Probably if Boufel had played regularly we would have scored a few more

I think the players we have to replace Lovren Lambert Lallana Shaw are overall better .

Bertrand even had an assist today

Lambert replaced by Pelle

Shaw replaced by Bertrand

Lovren replaced by Gardon

Sharp replaced by Long

Lallana replaced by Tusic

Guly replaced by Taider

A new Goalkeeper and Osvaldo still away plus a Decent Manager all Dutchmen appear so reasonable to me

If he was an excellent player he would be scoring goals just a reasonably good player.

If the club is to go forward it needs to develop it young players and give players like JWP and Reed a chance.

I think the club are doing their best to get a CB in but there does appear to be a shortage of decent ones.

You only have to look at what is available to Roy Hodgson and England to realise this

Surprisingly to some it appears that some top class players do not want to come to St Mary's it is easy identifying players but considerably harder to get them to sign.

I dont see what is wrong with Long at least he has played in the PL and scored goals for relatively struggling teams hopefully he will score more for SFC as last season we should have scored more.

Getting in strikers from Europe South America or Africa is always a risk Osvaldo Mayuka Delgado have hardly been successful neither has Ramiriez and there have been loads of similar failures in other clubs.

If Long scores ten PL goals I think he will be a success as I dont think he will be in every starting line up

Obviously to get him we have paid over the odds but I would rather have a decent striker than an extra £5m or so in the bank but then it is not my money so who cares

I thought from the emminient posters on the Saints Forum that the club was up for sale and the club had no ambition so you are probably wrong that Celtic have accepted our offer
