Seems likely that the players and manager have worked out most are not good enough for the Premiership and will have to be replaced if we achieve promotion so they have little incentive to make any effort. |

A lot of cynicism on this board. Sunak grew up in Southampton and he's showing support for his local team. If he wanted better publicity he'd support Man. U or a London team.

I think refs have become too soft , made worse by the detailed reviews of every issue. Why do football refs move backwards when players argue with them, why not stand their ground as in Rugby, then book aggressors? |

Good points, I totally agree. Players lack of respect for referees is abysmal. Maybe it could reduce diving and time wasting. Certainly could be used to remove those jerks that complain in the refs ear all the time, assuming the refs have the confidence to use the sinbins |

Ludlow Road Junior, 43 boys in the top class, 24 passed to go to grammar school. Pretty working class but we really had some proper teaching (and no teaching assistants). |
