Harwood-Bellis is arising He is exactly what we need Lets play him on the right Where he's out of sight So super Jack can take us to the Premier League
The club have ballsed up big time on this and anything they do now will be too little, too late.
We're not talking about someone who just passed through SFC for a couple of seasons; the guy made over 200 appearances and managed us for 6 or 7 seasons ffs.
We drove up the day before too and went to Bolton v Villa, an evening kick off. Was amazed the game went ahead as plenty of snow about and had to walk through a heavy blizzard on way to the ground. Fvcking freezing it was.
It helped us acclimatise though and made the next day feel like we were in Dubai.
1. I've always thought Birmingham is an under-rated city. Loads of great pubs and easy to navigate around.
2. Having home fans above the away fans is a recipe for trouble and totally unnecessary when they can't get anywhere close to selling out. Getting stuff lobbed down at you and gobbed on isn't pleasant.
3. Went to get drink in ground before half time and matey serving said if I gave him a tenner in cash, he'd give me an extra pint, so ended up with 3 pints for £10. Result.
4. Cross Country trains are just the worst. 5 carriages, 1 of which is 1st class, so loads having to stand in the aisles and around the toilets, which are either out of order or blocked. Everyone's on split save tickets with different seats reserved for different sections of the journey. Got kicked out of our seats at Basingstoke, then again at Banbury. Causes so much grief and problems.
Another highly amusing part of the day was our ridiculously poor timing on leaving the pub, right at the moment a mob of our yoof weirdo's were bouncing down Watford High Street like they owned the place. Must have been about 20/30 of them, all with plastic pints in their hands, singing their mongy songs and just being tits.
What made it so funny was they all had to stop to cross a main road where there was a build up of other fans already waiting, and in unison, they all stopped signing at the same time. About 30 seconds later, the traffic stopped, the green man came on, everyone started crossing the road and they immediately all started singing and being bellends again.
Some of the lot round by us in the ground were hilarious. Of course we had the usual "is this a library" and "I've got a shed bigger than this", but the bellendary was taken further by not being able to sing OWTS to the right tune, constantly abusing the other man bun player Watford had in their side thinking it was Hoedt and my personal favourite of singing "your city is red, your city is red....just like Southampton, your city is red".
I'm the same at Watford....been loads and still undefeated.
Away allocations should be reciprocal imo, so clubs like Ipswich, Watford, Boro, Sunderland etc that only give you the 2000 minimum they have to, should get that in return.
If as a club you're not going to sell out your home tickets, then of course it's fair game to give more to the away club if you'd prefer the revenue, ie Preston, Blackburn, Cov etc, but that's not and shouldn't be the case with us.
