Virgin Media problem
at 20:37 16 Aug 2024

Thanks for reply.

I think my problem was slightly different as it was using V6 box. I was given a priority call to India and told my issue could only be solved with a new contract starting there and then at extra cost £8-£9 per month taking me to almost £100. VM are advertising this new Sky+ service as a “no extra cost” to replace Sky arena.

I have gone to pm them on X-twitter and been advised a new remote and software upgrade will sort it so have a few more days to wait on delivery.

Hope it is sorted but I’m not impressed by VM continual switching of position during our correspondence - almost £1100 per year for abuse when I refuse a new and unnecessary contract.

I used 150 but ended up being shouted at by a Complaints Manager in New Delhi.

My VM contract ends in April next year, unlikely I’ll be a customer n May.

Has anyone had problems using the live streaming this week?

Mine worked a dream v Middlesbrough but had no option to watch v Gillingham. Managed to see the last 9 minutes using sky sports via VM on my phone but there was option to cast to TV.

I can be at the.com Saturday so don’t expect any issues this weekend.

Mark Davies RIP
at 19:52 17 May 2022

He was a great lad.

He was quick too and would have suited today's game as a central defender. Only John Williams was quicker than him at the Swans at the time. Made his League debut against Huddersfield with Frank B telling him to mark Iffy Onuora.

He joined my martial arts club at one time. A hell of an athlete and competitor. He played centre half for Merthyr when they knocked us out of the Welsh Cup and I never forgave him that one.

RIP Mark

Didn't Nathan Get Booked ?
at 13:43 4 Aug 2019

So why wasn’t the Hull c.half allowed to walk 4 yards infield when he was only 4 yards from the dead ball line and then allowed to walk to the touchline when he was being subbed?

I’m aware of the rule change and believe it applies to both teams😏

The Trust Email
at 23:05 23 Nov 2018

The Trust are getting shafted both ways here.

Whilst we all were 99% certain the “owners and other parties” had no intention of mediating the Trust had to give the benefit of doubt. A judge will look at the facts alone. If the Trust had gone straight to litigation they would have shelled out cash big time and “the others” simply would have had a stay of proceedings by playing the “lack of mediation card.” For the Trust that would have meant even more time and money as well as making themselves look like they just want to punish the others. No judge would support that and the likely outcome would be nominal damages in the event of their claim succeeding.

Our owners of the past and present really are shysters of the highest order.

Creating equity?

I would have thought goodwill must have a significant value to the “company’s” worth. I can’t imagine too many businesses have 16,000 people committing £500 every December for a product that doesn’t even start to deliver until 8 months have passed.

Some excellent performances tonight
at 00:12 29 Aug 2018

Yep. I enjoyed tonight (as much as you can in defeat.)

James a bit hasty snatching at his early chance but after that he only had half chances. Great pace and movement from him.

Yan Dhanda impressed first half quick and good feet. Comfortable taking the ball in space and tight areas. He reminded me of a young LB7.

Harries on times looked very assured and defied his first team inexperience.

Similarly CBR was full of running and gave their defence plenty to think about. Always offered himself and was a good outlet.

Hopefully Potter can give these guys minutes and bring them on to be established first teamers over the next year or two.

Stu Mac not in the Directors Box today
at 13:38 26 Aug 2018

It beggars belief that people seem “happy” to buy into the Jenkins call for unity.

He and his fellow directors (& former directors) are wholly responsible for any splits in supporters and opinions. The club needs to part with these toxic cronies.

I’m fully behind Potter and his team but those above him can go to hell.

(The truth is they will happily go but will hang out to be compensated for loss of privileges agreed as part of the buyout.)

U didn’t believe him did you?

The man has no integrity and very likely never has (remember the Vorm transfer to Spurs and the “free transfer” issue).

In Huw we’re trussed. #Jenkinsout #croniesout #yanksopenyoureyesandears

Hope Selby wins this.

I worked for a company once that was controlled from that part of the world. Never worked for such a horrible bunch of bullying bastards before or since. Real bullies too - once you stand up to them they do a Mo Farah.

I was all set but the missus laddered her tights. Max was going to drive us (he even bought one of them little hats and some belting driving gloves). All off now though. I hope they have a great day and send us some cake.

Who is watching Keeping Faith
at 00:10 23 Mar 2018

I'm enjoying it which probably puts me in a minority on here.

There's plenty of garbage on tv these days and talentless wannabes are getting paid plenty for merely shouting their mouth off - reality tv some call it. Jeremy Kyle, soapstars on ice, collecting stars whilst knee-deep in ostrich poo and scorpions. Waste of oxygen and electricity in my book.

As for where Faith is going? Well Evan helpus!

He makes a good point there does Nigel.

Season ticket money is burning a hole in my pocket now! Perhaps I will take the American option and buy myself a big turkey!

Mark Aizlewood charged in football fraud probe
at 13:26 5 May 2016

I remember him at the Vetch as Chester's assistant manager.

Ian Rush came out to a West Stand ovation followed by Aizleplank who came to a police escort!

He was also done for assaulting a female journalist from the BBC, whilst being employed by them as a football analyst.

He's not the nicest guy you could meet.
