He may not have had his best game today, but he’s one of the first on the team sheet for me.
Leaves everything on the pitch & is a credit to the shirt.
Is he perfect? No. But who is.
Look at Manning. Superb going forward, not the best defensively, yet the fans were chanting for him to stay when they knew he wanted to leave.
So unless he’s struggling fitness wise, or has a serious dip in form, then I’m always happy to see him on the pitch. |

3 points, & 3 goals. Not perfect by any stretch, but this is the championship, and we’re not going to get perfect every game. Lucky not to concede more than one, but then we could have had another couple ourselves including a clear penalty. Good bounce back after Tuesday.

Seems a lot of the Wycombe fans thought he needed more time, & that they have more beef with the board than anything else, but I suppose two clubs and two dismissals since he left here kind of speaks for itself. |

You’d like to think he made that decision because he got mullered in the head by that coin thrown from the crowd, but we all know he would have given that penalty anyway.
Worst ref I remember seeing was that league cup game against Scunthorpe down here in ‘09.
They were kicking absolute s**t out of our players, yet we ended up with 3 red cards I think it was.
Pretty sure we finished the match with 7 men. 3 reds and used up all the subs when Dobbie got absolutely smashed. Can remember fans waiting outside for the ref after the game as well lol. |

Nope. Not a derby for me. However, I really want to beat them because of the whole Reynolds/McElhenny sky commentary b******s, & how entitled their fans have become.

Yes Millwall are poor, but Wrexham dealt with them as such. I still think it’s a big test for us on Saturday. I hope you’re right about not giving them space, because that lump they’ve got up front has caused us problems in the past, & seems to have started the season pretty well. |

Yeah he’s saying we’re playing a highly risky financial game without checking any facts or figures, yet they all start moaning that they can’t do the same.
Funny how they can’t see why players coming here is a more attractive proposition than going there, yet they keep on berating their inept ownership, hence answering their own question, notwithstanding the two clubs comparative on-field success in the last 15-20 years.
In the main they’ll only see & believe what they want to see and believe, & most of it is complete b****cks. |

Yes you’re right. It really is difficult for all manner of reasons.
My mum & dad have helped me & my partner so much over the years, that I feel it’s the least I can do back for them.
As I say, you’re right. Mentally it’s very challenging, but of course like most of us, we do anything we can for family and loved ones. |

I don’t get to as many away games this last few years, as I’m a carer for my mum & dad who are elderly and have a lot of health issues, but I’m going tomorrow.
My last four away games spanning almost 2 years were Coventry, Oxford, Plymouth & Blackburn (only Blackburn was last season, the others the season before).
We won 2-1, 2-1, 2-1 & 2-1. So I’m going for 2-1 tomorrow 🤣 |

Funny really. I can remember going to an FA Cup game against Oxford down the Vetch in ‘92 I think it was. Looking at the attendance in the evening post the next day it said it was something like 5,500 there, & I thought that was a big crowd at the time.., which I suppose it was really, as I think we averaged about 3,500 at that time if memory serves. Funny how it’s all changed from those days. |

First half was ok, second half poor. Think we definitely have the squad to be competitive this season, especially when the new players have a bit of time to settle in, gel and create relationships on the pitch. Not too sure about top 8, but not getting my knickers in a twist after that today. Far too early in the piece. |

The irony of him doing the narration of the swans golden years part two video!
I wrote to him as a kid as I quite liked his commentary at the time on Radio Wales, (even though he did sound like a robot lol), & was good enough to write back to me as well.
I know he was a bluebird, but I grew up listening to his commentary, and as OHG says above, it’s all we had back then as I wasn’t allowed to go to games on my own until I was in my late teens.
My dad always called him Richard “away to our left/right” Sheppered.
Him & Ron Jones on radio wales back in the day were the commentators I grew up listening to back in the 80’s. Rugby union match first, & then second half commentary only on the football, & once in about 4/5 weeks it’d be the swans. I’d even record it onto cassette off my radio if we were on!
Good days those, but sad news today.
