Yeah we defo need to improve our finishing though as 20th in L2 is not good to look at.

As for the FA cup it would have been nice for Brentwood Town to go through to the 1st round as our gaffer used to play for them and Freddie Sears currently plays for them.

U's legends Steve Leslie & Reg Stratton also played for them.

Other ex U's & Brentwood players include Ben Lewis & Trevor Putney.

IMO Man City should be treated the same way as Rangers in the Scottish Premier in being relegated down to the lower levels of the League - I think the National League would be fair. Then put them under a strict transfer fee and wages embargo.
Then on their adventure back up the League pyramid they'll be inadvertently helping the finances of non league & lower league teams. The way this would work would be:
Man City relegated to NL and bottom 2 Premier League teams to Championship (hopefully Ipshite is one of them)
bottom 2 down from Championship to L1
bottom 3 down from L1 to L2
bottom 1 down from L2 to NL with Man City
Promotion from each league upwards remains as is.
Then Man City will spend their summer selling their big budget players on and having to budget for lower league players.
Harsh but fair IMO

Difficult to say as refs are paid to be impartial or at least theyre supposed to be. Weve had enough bad refs working against us over the years as well though tbf they do have a difficult job. If the Oldham management and players were aware of that then they should have been more vigilant.

I watched the highlights and some of the OAFC fan videos, talk about whining. Maybe we should offer them cheese & crackers with their sour grapes whine next time? Their players need to learn to keep cool heads.

Decent play from the Us so far, still 0-0 at HT. Other 2 l2 sides rotherham and cheltenham not doing so well.

Yes I agree, BG should have been given more backing to bring in the players he wanted and was far better than Mullins who was basically a 'yes man' for the upper management.
Anyway, its up to the Exiles who they appoint but I can't see it ending well for them...
