Best pub in Stratford Is the King Edward by fathoms. Best pub in Stratford for decades. Great craft beer , Jukebox , atmos and people.. tends to be avoided by the twin set cerruti 1881 clad hammer who seeks his sport at the bear pit, the carpenters arms which qpr fans should avoid at all costs.
The other boozer which i have found to be devoid of bill gardener types is the Cow, West Ham for sure, but Friendly. |

Fair play Baz!
I'm Just back home after 3 solid days at the Chigwell mother in laws giving me the 1000 yard stare over the north side of the 30 Pound Bronze Turkey. Cant recall the year but i remember being Kieth Moon 3 sheets in the east stand directly in line behind marlon Harewood , striking the ball like depleted uranium from 25 yards into the top corner. I politely stood up like a Norwegian Nobel peace prize winner and tipped my baseball cap in appreciation at the noble savagery of the strike.
Obvs , being in the away end for the Fa cup 3-1 1988 watching my cousin being carried away like iggy pop at woodstock on the shoulders of the old bill while the groundsman threw horse shit over us is the peak sawtooth wave of QPR west ham for me. 32 years ago! we were like the 1986 USSR world cup team that day. Tore them limb from limb.
Even the most bitter Iron was acknowledging how good we were. I remember some Hammer on the way out comparing Bardsley to Manny kaltz!.
