Kevin keegan rip

RIP Kevin. Great player. I wonder if his affection for the Rs was because he nearly joined us. Apparently Gordon Jago had agreed to sign him from Scunthorpe but Jim Gregory wouldn't agree to pay what they asked (£35,000). Keegan went to Liverpool later. Another tenuous link is Hamburg wanted Stan Bowles but Stan didn't fancy going to Germany so they bought Kevin instead who went on to win 2 Balon d'ors.
