No, Bony didn't run a lot for his previous club, he never took a step more than necessary at Vitesse either. He runs when he has to for like a counter attack and -highly occasional- run after a defender that keeps the ball for a little too long, but usually he just walk about in the final third collecting balls, linking up and scoring goals. In the Netherlands, my home country, he was criticizes more often than not for not doing anything more than he really has to and just looking 'lazy'. That said, he does score more than enough to justify his way of playing. And I'm new here yes, I've been reading and following for a few years already but never got to making an account on this board here :P (/me is Dutch, primarily Feyenoord supporter and vivid follower of football in a broader sense, especially EPL.) |
