Saw Hunter's last post in the match thread and wondered who people expect to leave / would be OK with leaving? I imagine Varane will leave in the summer and would be surprised if we don't have people sniffing around Burrell, especially if he comes back and carries on scoring. I also think anyone paying attention would be taking a hard look at Madsen given his performances this season. I'd be happy with ~£6m for Varane, £7-10m for Madsen (though I don't know if someone would pay that) and I'd rather not sell Burrell (though I guess everyone has a price). PS. This is not an excuse to slag players who aren't performing right now. |

Great post. I feel this as well. I guess my feelings about yesterday are somewhere in the middle, as we battled hard and got a point where I feel we would've given away a cheap 1-0 (which I like), but looked so poor doing it, especially going forward with 0 creativity (which I don't). But I find myself posting increasingly infrequently on here because certain posters especially (we all know who I'm talking about) make it a really negative place. In the past I feel like we had more positive posters to even this out but it just feels like at the minute that's not happening. I hope on Saturday we manage to find a win and a bit of positivity with it. |

I tend to agree, and have liked Field this season. I wonder if it's because (as some have mentioned) he's on decently high wages? Does make me wonder about Hayden as well but I guess he might be harder to offload... |

A player playing non-league two years ago isn't the next Erling Haaland? Colour me surprised. As fans we bang on and on about developing players, bringing them through, giving them time... Well this is what that looks like. If we want players to develop we have to let them do so, instead of slagging them off as soon as they don't immediately adapt. |

For some reason it sent my previous response a second time, so I've deleted it 😂 [Post edited 15 Jan 18:54]

I hope WLS are right and that this is nonsense. I'd rather see the season out with our existing player than spend money on another middling keeper. |
 | Forum Thread | Morrison going out on loan at 13:02 13 Jan 2026
Seems a bit harsh to me, has looked decent when he's played. I guess Stephan is not a fan and now that Edwards is back in, he might not have a spot. Leaves us a bit thin at the back, though, doesn't it? Are we going to rely on Smith / Akindeleni if we get a couple of injuries? https://www.westlondonsport.co |

I'm more keen on Varane than most I think and I agree with this. 5-6m is still good money, especially with a little sell-on to cover our bases in case he really kicks on. |

Anyone able to share for those of us who don't have Twitter / X? |

I think he's a decent player for us with good potential. Seems a bit low on confidence lately and so is too timid with his passing, but also does hard defensive work. £6m is a good price though. If they want to do this whole 'loan with an obligation to buy' thing at £5.2m, they can whack on an £800k loan fee and round it up nicely. Maybe a 5% sell-on to cover our bases a little? |

Yeah I feel this too. I reckon he's not at his best (definitely too slow to make a pass) but the potential is there and he does a decent defensive job in midfield. If the £5.2m is up front then I think it makes financial sense |

It'd be an obligation to buy, so no chance to turn around and say no... |

Did a quick google to have a look and two things popped up: A) Bids in the summer seemed to be around the £5m mark, so this bid isn't that different, at least according to FLW, The72 etc. B) Same article suggested we paid 875k for him, where Transfermarkt has it around €1.5m... |

The Shakespeare. I posted in a couple of local Facebook groups but couldn't find any R's fans and while I was an LFW reader I wasn't yet on the message board. If I ever make it back (hopefully) I'll see if I can talk them into showing the games again |

£4.5m is a lot for a player in a position that's was less of a priority (though I guess Morrison and JCS are out), but I have to say I'm pretty chuffed. Having Edwards next to Dunne feels like a serious back line. |
