Gunnersbury is a busy one. I do all my training on my own, one of the many reasons I like running, it gets me away from everything, so know what you mean. I especially enjoy the low-key parkruns, preferably with less than 100 participants, Southall being my current favourite of that type. |

Had a race with DannyPaddox at Scrubs parkrun on a horrible, sleety morning back in 2013. It was indeed boggy! |

The stampede at the start of Bushy is exhilarating! It's consistency that builds pace, keep blasting around a 5k once a week, get some easier miles in during the week and the body gets adapted. I'm 63 now and so the age grade is something that inspires me, a full on effort every now and then and I can sneak over 70%, which always pleases me. |

I was a big, old, hairy lump back then; nearly 17 stone. Older, less hairy and a lot lighter now! |

100th celebration at Bushy sounds good! I've had a parkrun addiction for over 15 years now, did my 532nd today. I'm slowly collecting all the London events, currently up to 51 out of 65 completed. |

I like them. I was very uncertain given the snooty image I had in mind so we went for a short one initially just in case we hated it but found the opposite. With P&O you can completely avoid the formal set dining and just use the 24 hour buffet which has a good variety on offer. There are also various types of restaurants and bars including a pub type with real ale. You can just stay on board, of course, but it's like being in a hotel at a different location every day or two. I'd usually go for a run soon after docking to have a scope of the locale and then later have a walk round if we haven't booked an excursion that day. [Post edited 4 Jul 15:18]

I've been alcohol free for just over nine years now and it's about 12 years with one lapse. Very pleased I managed to kick it, I feel healthier mentally and physically, happier in my skin. |

An acquaintance of mine was in a local band heavily influenced by Status Quo, John Coghlan then hired them, minus the drummer, to be 'John Coghlan's Quo' playing classic 70s Quo stuff. Does it still count as a tribute band if it has an original member? |

On the covers band side of things I love a bit of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes; punked up cover versions galore. |

There's a very subtle note of threat about that statement. I'm convinced you're some sort of undercover operator, Boston. Still haven't got over you phoning me up at work despite knowing only my forename and that I was from the Reading area... |
