Note to myself. Take some to next match to replace the sticky, worn-out tape on my Platinum SAR seat. Two of us pointed out the state of our seats to a member of staff, who simply gave a Julien Stéphan Gallic shrug of shoulders and pointed to several other seats in similar condition. Times is hard it seems..
I've owned a variety of cameras in my time, from the Brownie 127 of my childhood, through a Praktika Super TL for my first SLR, later a Pentax K2 and Nikonos underwater camera plus others (still got most of them). Until I bought the gear to develop and printed B/W photos, I was dependent on Snappy Snaps or whatever to see how my photos looked - many were poor or indifferent, similar with positive transparencies of which I have thousands of African Wildlife pictures amongst others.
Anyway, I'm very happy to now have some Nikon andf Canon Digital SLRs with a variety of lenses, especially valuable for wildlife photography that I can view and edit straightaway. I often need tens of photos for individual shots of flying birds or insects to get one or two decent ones (I'm also probably a lousy photographer!).
The quality of Optical Zoom in a Digital SLR is obviously better than the Digital zoom, but I have great admiration for the Smart phone cameras, that can take some brilliant photos and movies. A great example was a couple of years ago, on the island of Skomer at midnight, when we witnessed an Aurora Borealis. The colours were just about visible to the naked eye but the opportunity shots that I took with my Samsung Smart phone were fabulous!
Really don't like them - however, each to their own and I realise that they can serve a purpose, but not for me thanks.
Has anyone else wondered, as I've sometimes done over the years, how I've wished that certain players had spent more time on the training ground learning and practising the basics, rather than spending hours in the tattoo parlour?
Hitchhiked there in 1970 with future Mrs Hants, stayed in a nice camp site with fun people. Drove there in 2003 and also visited Pisa and San Giminano - super area.
I struggled over this reference to Popmaster, that I thought had finished some years ago. ( I got a mention for Mrs Hants and received a signed photo on Ken's last day.) . Anyway, I see it's on 'Greatest Hits Radio - so thanks for that and well done Jeff/Geoff!

Thaks Dave. I was at that match and remember it quite well - one of only 4 that we won all season. We seemed to be coasting but were hanging on desperately at the end.
