Few people near me in the main stand that scream ‘FORWARD’ any time we string a couple of passes together or a player spends more than 2 seconds with the ball. No patience whatsoever and it doesn’t help the players. We’ve scored two goals and had 27 shots, the issue clearly wasn’t not passing forward enough.

The team is average league 2 standard, no way capable of a mid table finish. BBM's tactics have been poor throughout the season, overcomplicating things with average players, but having lost the likes of Hendo, camps, alby in the summer and replaced them with non league players and inexperienced loans, it was always going to be a relegation fight.

BBM was hoping to keep Camps, Alby and MJ. Board made decision not to offer any new contracts last week. I'd imagine they all found out at a similar time to Henderson.

Yeah, most players at this level wait until the end of the season at to renew their deals, nothing wrong with that.

Sounds to me like Henderson was hoping negotiations would resume but found out by email yesterday he was being released. Not sure he's done much wrong here.

Club have retracted deals for camps and alby too. Understandable when they dont know when next season will be starting, but their statement yesterday made it sound like hendo had decided not to stay when that doesnt look to be the case.

I get that if the contract is up they are effectively released. But I doubt the players have been given the opportunity to sign those deals on the table from 6 months ago, negotiations had been put off since the virus.

It's not a case of Henderson running out of time to sign the deal, that would never happen. He'd probably be put on a rolling contract and then either of the parties would make the decision to cancel the contract. He'd be well aware of the deadline anyway.

A few players had offers but they'd likely not been given the chance to sign the deals with the club delaying them due to the current situation and then taking the offers away.

Hendos not the only one. Camps, MJ and Alby were also negotiating but told they were off yesterday.

Looks just outside the box but how the ref or linesman didn't see those as fouls is crazy. However he must have given Gillingham about 10 opportunities to launch the ball into our box.

We are playing 5 at the back which is heavily reliant on the wingbacks to get forward and provide the width yet rafferty clearly isnt an attacking fullback and neither him or done can cross the ball.

Also why is inman, one one of our best attacking players who is capable of scoring and playing a quality final ball sat on the bench?

The only defender deserving of MOTM today was rafferty - solid game. McGahey gifted oxford their 2nd goal with a dodgy header and tanser was all over the place all game, doubt we will see him in the team for a long time

Its ok for the fans to go mad at hill but not the other way around? Everyone was frustrated, not a big deal.

Glad to see him showing some passion, shows he cares despite some of the posts suggesting otherwise on here.

What about the signings of mcgahey, canavan, davies and logan, were they not signed with the purpose of improving the team? We cant just expect improvement every year, it isnt that easy.

I see a lot of fans saying they would be happy with a 19th place finish, but then overreact when we go through a poor spell of form.

FFO Keith: Play our strongest team FFS
at 18:30 20 Aug 2016

So fustrating knowing that we have a prefectly good team at this level when we play our best players, but shoot ourselves in the foot by playing players that wouldnt even stand out in a conference side.

If we play the likes of nml, donal, henderson and davies/andrew most games then we are in with a good chance of winning, we wont win every game but will pick up more points than we would with bunney/thompson.

Expecting keith to compare our budget with mk dons now.

Not sure what keith was expecting when he picked that line up.

We showed what we are capable once bunney and thompson went off but there was only a quarter of the game left. Fed up of seeing bunney get dropped but miraculously get back in the starting line up a few games later.

Kane could have been huge for us this tournament, still could be, but its not worked out so far.
I can see us starting with the team that finished against Wales, but with Lallana in for Rashford. It looked very promising but Hodgson decided against carrying on with this line up against Slovakia and we paid for it.

We have our best strikeforce in years, yet people still call for 6/7 goals a season Andy Carroll.

Our problem last night was a lack of composure in front of goal, not the lack of a big lump to hoof the ball up to.

Decent league 2 player. No technical ability on the ball but will do a job if told to stay at right back and defend.

Milner will be one of the first names on the team sheet and rightly so.

Don't see the harm in taking wilshere. If he is unfit or gets injured we have plenty of cover in midfield (henderson, ali, milner, dier, drinkwater). Makes sense to bring him rather than noble as he is our most gifted midfielder.

Cant believe i saw ward prowse (i'm sure he isn't a regular starter for southampton) and lingard mentioned!
