Me too, and it feels harsh to say it, but we change managers, co-owners, CEOs, DOFs, fitness regimes, data driven, not data driven... nothing is really working. For balance, the training ground is a good thing but even that moved at a glacial pace. And remember that idea of a new ground... and now Oxford have one approved. There has been so much development around W12 in the past 20 years that its frankly typical bloody QPR that we've missed out on every opportunity. We've had 12 years in the Champ now and bar a brief period of time with Warburton the idea of us being in the play-offs has turned into a myth like a cup run. I'm fed up of us following what other clubs are doing and I think a fully focused owner might get us started on our own path. We desperately need a new owner in charge who has the club as their sole focus otherwise, I fear we will tread water and just continue to fall backwards. [Post edited 3 Mar 12:48]

Great post, and although there are a ton of reasons as you've listed... I really think the key one is the owner and how much time and energy they can give the club. Hard to grumble (at all) at someone who gives in a week what would take me the best part of a decade to earn to just keep the lights on, but we really need a fully engaged owner. Who is the richest QPR fan then - come on fess up! [Post edited 3 Mar 12:29]

Yeah I’ve enjoyed watching them play. It looks like they’ve got a spare man at times. Personally hope they top the table. Nice to see them stop Tom Brady’s Bluenoses [Post edited 2 Mar 22:43]

Boro can certainly knock it about. Despite losing to Coventry the other week, I thought they played the better football and just got hit on the break. Clutching at straws but maybe we could do similar… I doubt it, but you never know! |

Brilliant, Clive. All the elements that focused on our ever-dwindling status, and the Groundhog Day feeling of our seasons really got to me. I’ve actively avoided football content this week as I’m sick to the teeth of seeing us simply tread water, which in reality means we falling behind. Forget Brentford and Millwall, it’s the likes of Leyton Orient and AFC Wimbledon we’ve got to watch out for next… This club needs sorting out from top to bottom, and although we have a wealthy benefactor, I fail to see how even the player trading model is going to work for us either. It would be very QPR to cock it up by crocking our best assets or allowing a 27 year old CEO to hire every possible football manager vacancy that the game has available. We either need a miracle year (à la Warnock) or major investment. Apologies, your great report has clearly triggered some brooding thoughts!! |

Another season, which has left me wondering, if we’re going to be served the same old thing gruel again next season. And for me, I think the answer is yes. We’ve got another season to come of being outsmarted by clubs of similar financial punching power, parachute payment teams walloping us and us gradually being pulled to our gravitational home of 16th Sorry for the misery. Just totally bored of the same old, year after year. |

Where’s CharlieB? He usually has the inside scoop and can quell us mere plebs |

Don’t get too high, don’t get too low - a sentiment i agree with, But which other Champ team have a 5-0 and a 7-0 shellacking in them every season, and no cup run whatsoever, all of which is almost expected. We are a very tolerant lot, and Ruben keeps us a float, but it’s not circling a drain it’s just total stagnation. [Post edited 24 Feb 21:44]

 | Forum Thread | Will Chair be back to his injury free best? at 22:36 22 Feb 2026
Not intending to dampen the mood following a great away win but just keen to hear what others think. For being a mainstay and a key creative outlet for so many years, hardly missing a match, I just really hope we see Illy back this season and getting 8-10 games under his belt so he can be a vital part of this team again. I sit in F block with my dad who has a watched the Rs since the late 60s and he fears that the once robust Chair may be a thing of the past, I hope he’s wrong but am worried he’s right. Guess time will tell and he’s still young, but to me it’s kinda startling how he’s had so many injury setbacks over the past couple of years with hardly anything for all the time before. Really think this team with a fully fit Chair on the left (or in the middle) could really excite and help us to challenge those playoff spots. |
