Dale fan accident - Eastleigh game
at 18:28 26 Aug 2023

It was my missus, she’s ok now - without giving too much detail she’s got a heart condition so it happens occasionally, it must’ve been the shock of us winning…

Worth noting that the doctors around the club were really, really good with us and didn’t rush us out of the ground, despite them ending up being ‘off shift’, she reckons the lady (Georgia) was the best doctor she’s come across!

Good to know supporters are in safe hands if anything happens!

Season card renewal
at 06:37 11 May 2022

There is, because I got one.

Think it’s from the Covid season, those that chose to avoid a refund would get a voucher for the next 3 seasons. I got £35 off last season, get £35 off this season and next, too.

Agree with this.

Thought Shaughnessy was excellent, as were Rathbone, McShane and Keohane.

We were pretty fortunate to still be level at half time but second half stepped up a gear and looked threatening. Too many occasions where the final pass wasn’t right.

What a difference having McShane and O’Connell together makes!

Can’t help but think we need maximum points from the next 2 games, we’ll be in a decent spot if we can get those!

Got mine over the phone on Monday and they said they'll send them in batches and I should expect to receive my ticket in the post in about 7 days.

The most shocked I've been is when I noticed myself trying to pronounce my 't's properly.

Dale Trust - Player of the Season vote

Completely agree. Consistently performed at a really good level, despite having multiple partners (Including full-backs at points).

Which team did you prefer on the All-Time XI podcasts?
at 17:23 23 Apr 2020

Holt was a tough one, I loved him to bits! O'Grady is my favourite ever Dale player though so he had to go into my team. I couldn't then go with Holt as his partner, I'd be very worried about pace getting in behind...
Appreciate the vote though, genuinely didn't think I'd get any!

I think we know who's won't!

Was really nice to go through all the great players we have/have had. Also some who we remembered after each episode and wish we'd mentioned. The forwards were particularly hard, O'Grady was always going to get in mine, but then there was a choice of all the others.

It'd be interesting to see some teams from people who've been around longer than we have; I know my Dad mentioned Martinez as someone who would go in his team (This was just before a telling off for my Midfield).

Haha, you’re not the first one to call me out on the Jones decision and I’m sure you won’t be the last! I love him and will always have fond memories - I just think Lund and Camps are better technically, which is how I picked my midfield.

He’s definitely on the bench, promise.

Struggling with this style of football...

Very true, we’ve had many long debates about his lack of appreciation for good music. Tend to agree on football in the most part, though!

Cheers Shun.

Struggling with this style of football...
at 13:47 21 Nov 2019

Great post.

We used to have a really patient fanbase who saw the bigger picture. More recently there seems be a lot of short termism creeping into the stands. Tuesday night was ridiculous, to the point where I had to double check the score when I got home to make sure we'd won; don't think I've ever heard fans boo a winning team before.

Granted, the performance wasn't great in the second half but it was a winning one and was similar to the type of performances people have alluded to towards the end of last year, in that we defended pretty well and restricted them to minimal chances.

The football throughout the majority of the season has been a breath of fresh air. We've finally got a commanding GK with good feet, pacey full-backs willing to get forward but don't forget their defensive duties, O'Connell is superb, Camps is getting forward creating and scoring goals, Rathbone providing much needed bursts forward, Morley has an excellent passing range and Hendo doing what he does best.

We're 16th in the league, into the 2nd round of the FA Cup (With a home tie against non-league opposition awaiting us), an Old Trafford trip in the Carabao. It's a work in progress, but the youngsters need our support - I dread to think what they were thinking when warming up by the Main Stand. A brief look at some of Tavares' social media activity in recent days suggest the players are feeling the negativity.

Let's support the lads and BBM.
