Really poor performance, our defence (if you can call it that!!) was completley out muscled and out thought.I still cannot get my head around why we cannot seem to pick up players this zonal defence shite does not work. Midfield was inept Captain Chestbeater was pathetic as usual, Boufal was non-existent and Armstrong and Smallbone tried but didn't have their best days.Long and Obafemi were not really given the service with Ings on the bench we were always going to find it difficult to score.
I find it really difficult to gauge this display after last weeks Villa one but hopefully it is just a blip bring on Newcastle. |

Not sure what to say about today really, what is it that our players dont get, a few weeks back we played the ball forwards with speed, we closed down, we had movement!!!, a couple later and we seemed to have slipped back to Puel days, sideways backwards. We lack the ability to get round the back of them on both wings because Ward-prowse and Targett haven't got the pace. Stephens has gone backwards in my opinion a couple of seasons ago both he and Yoshida were brilliant when VVD got injured what has he been told?. Vestergard had a good game, Ings injured again!!!, I could write a thesis on Long but what is the point RH seems to think he is a worldbeater. Redmond was a pain but I still think he could do more for us. Our midfield coped ok but we miss Lamina. We were under a lot of pressure in the last 20 minutes with them just playing the Watford long ball into the box at every opportunity which we seemed to struggle with. Overall I will take a point but with Cardiff winning, next weeks game really is a must. |

Well what can i say, another game we should have won but didnt, getting fed up listening to the same old tosh dished out by Mr Hughes, yes we may have had the majority of possession but if you don’t put it in the onion bag what is the point of this tippy tappy football!!!. He continues to play the same players and expects a different result, why he keeps playing Charlie up front is beyond me, he offers nothing and more importantly wins nothing either, why does he play Hoedt he is a calamity and makes too many basic errors. Redmond yet again should stay on the right NOT the left and get some crossing practice in because it is pathetic to watch. Lamina and Armstrong in the first half were brilliant Lamina my MoM. Cedric is embarrassing as a full back gets beat too often and wanders all over the place getting caught on the wrong side to often.
We break too slowly which is partly down to the fact that Charlie has got no pace at all and the rest of the team are still back in the 18yrd line instead of pushing out as a unit to support. I feel for Gabbiadini he is a class player but spend most of his time covering for Cedric. There needs to be a change and quick. I think Stephens and Yoshida at CB’s Targett Left, not sure who RB, Keep the midfield the same but put Redmond on the right to allow Targett more room down the left, drop Charlie to the ‘A’ side and play Obafemi and gabby upfront. It was a disappointing showing on Saturday but i think we can get it of it but change is needed now. Tuesdays match against Leicester is the one to try it out on. I live in hope |
