We will get Brentford or Wolves, doesn’t matter if we’re home or away we’ll be able to concentrate on the league afterwards. |

It’s just a shame we’ve waited until this point of the season to do that. Too little too late springs to mind. |

VAR are checking now to see if they can find a way to rule out our equaliser. |

Brighton will rightly see us as there for the taking and as it’s not a big 6 club, we won’t play anywhere near as well as we did at times last weekend. I suspect this will echo the traumatic beasting we took on the Boxing Day game at home under Jones. I hope I’m wrong though obviously. |

Just leave a light on for me - Belinda Carlisle Wonder if we should send in a load of spoof half time requests asking for these songs at their next home game. |

I think back to when Saints fans did that pretty much every game at the Dell for Branfoot followed by sit ins after games and car park protests. We did used to do it, and we were ignored back then until people voted with their feet. [Post edited 27 Nov 11:00]

We aren't going to be looking for a new manager now or in January as Sports Republic have their man. Pep could be available tomorrow and this lot would say, no thanks. The only time I can see SR having a wobble will be season ticket renewal time if a sufficient number of people say, I'm not watching that sh1t anymore. |
| Forum Reply | Leicester Sack Cooper. at 08:52 25 Nov 2024
After reflecting on yesterday’s debacle at the back and another (plucky?) defeat. I’d take a punt on Cooper until the end of the season. But that would mean we had to fire RM and we all know that ain’t happening. |
| Forum Reply | Could This Be Russell Martin's Last Game ? at 10:03 24 Nov 2024
I genuinely think regardless of today’s result RM is here for this season and the start of next. Sports Republic will be looking at it as a project. Russ is their guy to take it forward and this is all part of the learning. We’ll get relegated, fans will renew season tickets as we will be expected to challenge for promotion straight back, nothing will force them to change tack. |
| Forum Reply | Anymore News About Sunday's Boycott at 10:38 22 Nov 2024
It is my better halfs birthday this Sunday. I won't lie, I was a little relieved when it become apparent she didn't want me going. I'll do the Chelsea game as I'd rearranged work so I could get away early but can't do the Spurs one for any other reason than having an early start the next day and it's on tv. I am looking forward to Villa though, not been there for years. PS, if I'd known then what I know now I might have stuck with Ralph...ah no, I couldn't handle another 9-0 capitulation. |
| Forum Reply | Is the suggested Liverpool Cup boycott having an effect ? at 11:46 14 Nov 2024
I’m surprised you think the club have pitched this right Nick. Not saying you personally think £30 is right but that you can see why the club have chosen the price they have. I guess the attendance on the night will answer that. As it’s midweek I won’t be going anyway but I personally think £20 would have been the correct number. |
| Forum Thread | Liverpool - Cup tickets at 09:16 14 Nov 2024
Just seen an email from the club saying I had limited time to buy up to 4 extra tickets for the Liverpool game, but that the £30 offer ends soon. I didn’t realise that the £30 was an early offer! At £30 to watch a largely changed Saints team against a largely changed Liverpool team, this pricing starting point seems absurd. |

Two seasons ago I did let it get to me. This season I was expecting us to get humped regularly so I knew what I was getting into. It’s weird as the crowd haven’t turned on him yet so it’s not as toxic as it was under Ralph/Jones/Selles, but equally as bad if not worse than then. Strange really. [Post edited 10 Nov 18:32]

People not going is what did for Branfoot all those years ago. I went to the game on New Year’s Day against Norwich that season and said I’d not go back until he was gone (probably like a lot of others) I’m not so sure that will work at the moment given how many season ticket holders there are (myself included) that have paid their money in advance. Perhaps the fan-zones empty, people boycotting cup games might make them think a bit. I don’t blame RM, he was an average manager at Swansea and MK Dons. I don’t blame the players. They’re not good enough. Sports Republic need to come out and say what the long term goal is here. It doesn’t look like we are building anything for the future, I don’t see their current strategy working. There has been investment, but instead of it being spent on quality rather than quantity their record of ownership in the premier league must be the worst ever. |

We definitely looked less timid/more front footed at times. But yes there was something there that has been missing at the end of games yesterday. |
