It certainly seemed we were playing around with it at the back a lot less. Perhaps proof indeed that changing it up a bit might catch other teams out with different styles and patterns of play. |

My friend said to me yesterday, we don't appear to have a keeper, just a guy with a pair of gloves that stands between the posts. Even Che would be prolific if he was facing this bloke... |

We were relegated with Leeds and Leicester last season. They have also lost players and had rebuilds to undertake, new managers implementing their own style on the team. We always, always as a club, seem to explain stuff away with a shrug of the shoulders and not hold anyone to account. The manager has to take his fair share of the blame, the 4 game spell at the start of the season was largely self inflicted. Recent team selections have baffled fans. When the big moments have come, we've come up short in them. Blame scar tissue, bad luck or even the ides of March. The table seldom lies. We have a goalkeeper who doesn't seem to stop a lot. He was purchased as one for the future but as sure as eggs are eggs come the moment he develops and we receive a decent offer for him (if that ever happens) then he'll be off. His next club might get the benefit of these formative learning years whilst we are back to square one probably with another rookie. It begs the question, what's the point. We bought a striker that's yet to play whilst watching Che do what Che does. But lastly, lets discuss the people in charge making these decisions. The buck really does stop with them. Good luck to the three teams that get promoted, we won't be. I don't want to go back to being premier league cannon fodder but championship history is littered with teams that failed to return and are now languishing in the lower reaches and league one also has a few casualties. As the OP said, the time for inquests will come in the summer but I don't hold out much hope of SR getting things right next season either given their track record with us so far. |

Don’t have one for Shea Charles particularly but I do have one for the whole team as the ball is moved around the pitch. To the tune of Adam Ants Prince Charming. Will Smallbone Will Smallbone One more pass is nothing to be scared of Bednarek Bednarek One more pass is nothing to be scared of Bazunu Bazunu Launch the thing we’re starting to get scared now. |

Wigan game was when we encountered the beast from the east. I was in Spain watching in a bar. But it wasn’t too warm there either! |

I had travelled down from London for that game before finding out. Also remember a game against West Ham in the 90's was rained off and found out about it on the on the train down with the London Saints. |

It was a league cup game (midweek) the players, thinking they had the evening off allegedly went on the piss and had to be rounded up (pre mobile phones) The fa cup game a few seasons later was a 1-3 defeat at Elm Park, Benali got sent off and the game is etched into my mind as it was possibly the coldest I’ve ever been at a football game. |

My eldest son has a ST but as of last Saturday has gone travelling for the next few months. If I don’t use it he was planning on using ticket exchange. I’m guessing he won’t have much luck then with that. |

We were woeful in September, apart from the Middlesbrough game we weren’t even close to the other teams we played and at that point Middlesbrough had yet to register a point I think. Getting caught in possession by over playing it had cost us numerous times. A few points. I wonder what would have happened had we not beaten Leeds. A real sliding doors moment. I wonder if failure to adapt sooner during that run will ultimately cost us as Leicester and Ipswich are effectively looking like 6 pointers (after that 4 game run Bazunu was instructed to not take as many chances in the quest to retain possession) And finally, I can’t believe someone has got up on a Sunday morning and thought to go back to Septembers posts on a forum with about 20/30 people posting on to do this |

1; he has more vowels in his name than consonants. 2; Mask a Euro is an anagram you can make from his name. 3; err, he has now scored more goals than Broja ever scored for us (*this needs fact checking as I couldn’t be arsed to do so myself) |

Not that I pay much attention to the blue few but does anybody know what their attendances have been this season given they are running away with league one? I’m guessing they’re filling out the old girl? |

Great player, him and Wayne Bridge over lapping down the left hand side will last long in the memory. Definitely a cult hero for me. |

I have always thought crowds on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are always a bit subdued. I am struggling to recall a game on either of those days where support was worthy of note. We played spurs in 02/03 on NYD then again a few days later in the cup. The contrast between both games (which we won) was like chalk and cheese. |

I think this style of football when you are winning is either entertaining or bearable depending on your view point of it. Last season we passed and passed without ever looking like scoring. This season we’re winning. We could definitely do with a poacher up front. Adams is fast proving he’s not good enough for this level. It’s hard to say we’re not playing to his strengths as after all the seasons he’s been with us, I’ve no idea what they are. What is going to absolutely kill us this season was the car crash of a September we had and the steadfast refusal to stop over playing it at the back until the side was settled and players being suitably comfortable with it. 15 game unbeaten runs don’t come around very often so I’ll enjoy that for what it is. |

Seen the Bluetones and Hue & Cry before, Starsailor would have been good to see. A bit like myself, I've managed a grand total of 2 gigs and one of those was a tribute act. The Style Councilors back in January I think it was. Saw Embrace for the 25th anniversary of their debut album tour at Shepherds Bush last month. I'm planning on going to see Ian Prowse at the heartbreakers next year and will try and get to see the Howl and the Hum after just discovering them. |
