Did Charlie Austin Have A Point !
Aahhh dear old Charlie strikes again-I was hoping we’d heard the last of him once we got shot of!
I’ve posted comments on him before on here having encountered him on a night out in Newbury or Hungerford on many occasions but let’s just say he is the most unprofessional professional I have ever had the displeasure to meet or read about-even Charlie himself will admit to you he doesn’t care about playing, just the dollar that comes with it.
I do agree with your article in principle though Nick, just please don’t give up any more of your hard work in articles on this prima Donna!
Saints V Burnley The Verdict
If that's how they play, if that's the sort of effort they can muster, after having a mid season holiday then they shouldn't be allowed to go away ever again until the seasons are over with!
Saints At Chelsea The Verdict
Credit where credit’s due, and everybody deserves credit today because that was the perfect performance.
Big shout out to JWP today as well-I’m 1 of his biggest critics but he was superb today & I’ve never seen such a tenacious performance from him.
And finally a mention of the Chelsea “supporters” and their spoilt attitude to the game in particular when trying to (& succeeding with Bertrand) getting our players booked for time wasting at dead balls when we’d barely collected the ball-if you think today was time wasting good luck with when you play Burnley & Watford!
Saints V West Ham United The Verdict
We all also know how bad Redmond is and he didn't fail to disappoint either-at least the manager saw it for once and hooked him.
The Itchen North Is Arising
What a load of s@&te-this article almost seems like it’s being written by a skate......
Saints January Transfer Window Needs To Concentrate On One Area Only !
1 of your more well balanced articles Nick.
And i'd like to know who it was that ever thought Jack Stephens will play for England!
A lot has also been said about Danso- As a watcher of the Bundesliga he's a player that came from an average side where he was far from an automatic choice every week and, for me, it's no surprise that he doesn't appear to have impressed anyone at EPL level.
Extra Tickets For Aston Villa On Sale
Pity they couldn’t find any extra for Chelsea due to them asking for only a pitiful 1500 initially.
I’ve got mine by the way, am just p#£@ed off for all those that won’t get 1 with it having sold out about 4 weeks prior to the game & it’s only Saints who can be blamed for this.
Saints v Everton The Preview
What a ridiculous thing to say-football supporters cannot change matches, that’s down to the players on the pitch.
And if fit enough to do so Djenepo should start-with Saints at the moment the game may already be over if we leave him until it’s the time to run at tiring legs!
Saints Scapegoats Show They Have Fight
Oh the irony......Yoshida anyone?!
Maybe you should drill the stats down even further and average out the minutes, not games, both have played, as well as all of the touches, passes etc. both Boufal and JWP have had which may tell a different story, maybe.
Saints At Manchester City The Verdict
Oh, and having just read JWP's interview on the official site where he states nobody can question their commitment, not for Saturday they can't mate, no, but he / they just don't get it (or even care) do they-where was that commitment against Chelsea at home and, more pertinently, against Leicester at home where the club suffered the worst day in our history??
Saints At Manchester City The Preview
Lets take the heavy defeat and get out of there.
On a separate note i'm loving the clubs response to last Friday, more accurately lack of response. Now i'm not on any social media so cannot comment on if anything has been coming out of those platforms but the lack of news stories on the official site, even a lack of pre & post match stories / comments to the midweek game, astounds me-it's almost as if the club are taking the "if we don't say anything about anything all will be forgotten" approach.
Yes we should move on but the worst day in the clubs history should never be forgotten until all who were involved last Friday-club, backroom & playing staff-are no longer with Saints.
I'm amazed that us supporters & fans are still be treated as t%^&s by Saints....
Saints At Manchester City The Verdict
This result was always 1 i expected with City always going to change their entire 11 so i never expected us to get spanked.
However i do fear for us on Saturday when City will presumably put their preferred XI out and cannot see anything other than a hefty beating-our only hope may be that City have a Champs League game and then Liverpool following us so they may get it won early and take it easy on us....hopefully.
Saints V Leicester City The Verdict
Supporters fault, Yoshi’s fault, we have very good players, nothing wrong with our current owners blah, blah......
I travel from & to Newbury by train every game & I was that embarrassed last night (& still am) that when I got back to Southampton Central I went to the Gents to take my shirt off because I didn’t want to be seen outside of Soton with it on.
No matter what every single 1 of those players that were involved last night do from now on, with Saints or elsewhere, I will never forgive them for that & that’s all I’ll remember them for.
Saints V Chelsea The Verdict
F%$& you Saints! I left home at just after 0930 & returned just after 1930 due to train engineering works, making all that effort to see that.
Gunn is not our best GK (said that before he came in the team), &, oh i can't go on, it's too painful to even think about the others let alone speak about the others....
But Bednarek, Romeu & Ings have been ok to good so far this season.
We are no better off now than under Hughes & Pellegrino-if anything we look even more disorganised now than under them but, on the plus side, we do look more of a threat at the other end of the pitch.
"but then came the 1st gift" that was from JWP by the way Nick because you couldn't seem to recognise his part in the 1st goal but have named others at fault elsewhere in your piece, otherwise a very good assessment.
