On the point about free kicks, I think at half time, we had only had 17% possession but somehow Boro had fouled us 6 times (we had given away 3 fouls). Not only were they very good with the ball, but they were happy to commit fouls to stop us.
Think the tactics/formation was wrong. The Boro fan Clive spoke to told us exactly what would happen and how they would play with the wingers being narrow and full backs providing the width. She also said that they tire in the 2nd half.
We needed to minimize the damage in the first 60 mins and try and play later. Probably needed another midfielder in there such as Hayden/Morgan and just one up front, low block and frustrate them.

Glad Mclaren won both championships as it's rare that a team successfully manages to allow both their drivers a shot at the title. If they had nominated a number 1 driver earlier in the season, they would have wrapped up the drivers title a lot sooner.
There were a few occasions when he gave West Brom free kicks for soft fouls and then didn't give us free kicks for worse fouls.
After we went 2-0 up, it felt like we went about 15 mins without being awarded a free kick. Typical Ward really, no idea what's going on and no feel for the game.
The pitch at Ewood does fall away sharply at the ends and the sides which you would think would help drainage but there is a river right next to the ground, so maybe a water table issue.
