I get starting Esquerdinha as we don't really have anyone else to play at left back, with RND not eligible today and Field out on loan. Don't think Vale is the answer as he struggled there as well. Smyth starting might have been an option, given that he came on at half time anyway. Saito is a shadow on the player he can be and maybe coming on from the bench might be better for him. However, the injuries and a few players out of form is making it difficult for the manager although with the number of fit centrebacks we now have, maybe a different formation at the back or 3 in midfield with maybe Edwards pushing forwards should be tried. |

Field has played 6 games since joining Norwich - they have won 5 and lost 1 of those games. He's started 4 games (415 mins in total). Seems to have fitted in very well for them. Hopefully, assuming we do sell, his potential value will be on the rise. |

"....but I don’t think Dykes, Kelman and Armstrong were worth what we sold them for.... " From the recent accounts, it doesn't look like we got as much for Dykes and Armstrong as was rumoured when they were sold. |

Both Stephan and Cifuentes before him have done a reasonable job in difficult circumstances (smallish squad with key players continually injured). Can't see any point changing the manager again when our main issue seems to be fitness/injury and availability which isn't down to the manager. |

Can we treat him like an old car and break him up for parts which we can use to repair some of the other members of our squad......?? |

I wonder which Southampton player will be allowed to do what he wants by the ref - Manning maybe? |

I was brought up with union and sometimes get frustrated watching league. A good friend of mine grew up watching league and sometimes gets frustrated watching union. Both games have good points and bad but played well, are exciting to watch. |

The one thing I've been thinking about recently is what would happen if Ruben decided to stop funding the club or if something happened to him and his family decided not to fund us? I seem to remember that Bolton got into trouble when their benefactor died and his family didn't want to keep funding the club. |

Thanks Simon, I will re-read again tomorrow with a clear head (been out on the beer this afternoon) but do you think we are desperate for sales next summer to meet financial rules or do we have a bit more leeway over the next couple of seasons? |

For once, the change of kick-off time suits me, as I have a cricket awards dinner to go to in the evening, so now I can do both. Although generally, I dislike 12:30 kick offs. |

Three of us going but as we live in West Yorkshire, it's only just over an hour to get there. |

I think he also shows how much he enjoyed his time at QPR and living in Chiswick - great player and great person. |
