I too noticed a few. There was one just a few rows across from a Middlesborough FC one. Wonder if the owners had a few words with each other?

Sorry ST, just to elaborate, my number 3 top biscuit is a Wagon Wheel but only those in the red packet. You and that other lot from down the M27 can have the Wagon Wheels in the blue packets as I won't buy those ones.

I've always thought a Wagon Wheel was a biscuit, albeit a posh one, unless someone otherwise enlighten me?

Great summary, well put together.

The EFL seem to have put a great deal of emphasis on the "bullying" of individuals at Southampton by those in positions of power, and yet we have the EFL appearing in my eyes to be doing exactly the same to our team, "It's our league and you will do as you are told and no we don't need to explain ourselves".

I'm surprised that nearly 24 hours after the event, we have not heard even the most minor of rumblings.

Now it's starting to get interesting. As our learned friend the KC has said, none of the "evidence" seems to have been put out there and does not seem to have been elaborated on in the initial hearing report, just that we admitted to the offence(s). What if some of that "evidence" had been obtained through illegal or immoral ways.

Hopefully the club have learned a few lessons from the hearings so far in as much as don't rush in and agree to everything thrown at you instead of waiting the allocated time specified allowed.

Another good read, and although we will not change the outcome of the original hearing, we have someone here with the qualifications and status to show that doubt can possibly be considered in relation to the sanctions that were given out and how they came to be considered in the first place.

If the boot was on the other foot, the media in the Tees area would be all over this, so come on the local media, time to step up as well and follow on from what this top KC has indicated.

Authorities - would these be the same Authorities that Gibson threatened to sue if they did not agree to what he said should be the outcome of any hearing?

I accept that we cannot change the findings of the hearing, what we can do however as a club is change this "cheat" narrative. Every week you hear the same old chants, mainly in the Premier League I may add of "Same old (insert team) always cheating", usually after a player dives, or takes an supposed injury time out, or they have a wrestling match in the penalty area.

The "cheat" narrative will stay whilst we accept the draconian sentence. If we can put doubt in how that draconian sentence was achieved then the "cheat" narrative may well fade away. This just needs as good a PR spin after the event put on it, as good as Middlesborough' was prior to it.

I too want Tonda to stay. If the FA ban him for a certain time, get an interim manager in to keep his seat warm, till he is allowed back out to play.

The last few months have been the best time to follow Saints since the days of Lawrie Mac and possibly the last knockings of Nigel Adkins.

Free the Southampton 1 (or are there more).

Many neutral members of the public may think the sentence was fair, but there are also a lot of those that do not and not just our learned friend. Karen Brady, I thought wrote a very telling article in the Sun this weekend about the hearing and it' findings and a lot of people have supported her on that as well.

In the words of Boxing, "We have a split decision". So to counter act that in the only way to deal it is to turn the other cheek or again using another persons words, this time Harry Hill, "Fight".

Something does not sit right with the whole hearing thing, from it' make personnel make up, to the evidence that was used and how that evidence was produced, to the final decision. Now it' time to try and change that narrative.

I hear what you say Nick, if the players want him gone, he is gone.

However if the shoe was on the other foot, what if a player is found guilty of simulation during a match either to obtain a penalty or get a player sent off that ultimately ends up with the team winning but the offending player being hauled all over the place, so we also ask for that player to be sacked? Will the players also continue to play the "injured" player trick in order to get a tactical time out, especially if things are not going well.

Mistakes are made. This is one of those mistakes, learn from it and move on as we are still waiting for the FA to have their say. Players and fans alike have lost money, we may even have lost staff as a result of the expulsion, but it does not hide the fact the outcome of the hearing was draconian, and did not meet the offence, not just my opinion, but also the opinion of a lot of others far more qualified than I am (see Karen Brady' column in the Sun on Saturday past for one instance).

It is time to change the narrative and take the fight back to them. We cannot change the finding of that hearing, but we can still put doubt into the hearing itself by looking at the panel members and how the information used in the hearing was obtained and how it was used in order to come to the draconian decision they did in the end.

I am still in the keep Tonda camp/team. My shirt says, "These colours do not run", you know what, "They never have, they never will". Time to put the big boys pants on now.

Just joined the merry thong and first ever post. First of all top 3 biscuits:

I am very much in the keep Tonda team. The punishment received by the club and the rhetoric prior to, during and after the hearing was not warranted for the so called offence (it was not a crime) committed. Are those calling for Tonda to go also going to voice similar opinions if one of our players gets aways with a simulated offence on the pitch such as "diving" for a penalty or making out that they have been assaulted by an opponent that results in a red card, of course they are not, but the issues are similar, they all try to improve the chances of winning, however on the pitch it only results in a yellow card unless you do it another time in the match, but again it's only a second yellow, and not a straight red. Do they want the player involved to be sacked as well. The analyst was caught once prior to the Play Off at Middlesborough. The other 2 offences admitted too took place on other days and involved other teams, so at best a yellow for each, and as far as I know you don't carry yellows over into the next match in order to get your red card, they have to accumulate to about 5 or 6 before you get banned. I don't think 3 separate yellows gets you a ban unless someone can enlighten me. If they suspect others, prove it, I doubt the club will now admit to anything more after the latest hearing hatchet job. Matches used to won and lost (or drawn) on the pitch, now they can also be won by having a very good PR team to go over the top in regards to a minor offence along with a person who is prepared to threaten the authority that governs it all with further litigation should the hearing result not go their way. The EFL have effectively given the go ahead with the penalties issued in relation to this event for other clubs to go ahead and challenge a result if they feel that they have been "cheated" out of a positive result, and that the referees decision is now not necessarily final. The EFL had the opportunity to stop the match prior to the second leg, but didn't, making me and I suspect others think that this was just about money and the prestige of the biggest match in the EFL calendar, The club may have things taken out of their hands over Tonda and others in the club, but as far as I can see, and perhaps others may be able to enlighten me, the EFL is the only place that has this 72 hour rule in place and even then there is no tariff within that ruling should it be breached. Questions have been raised in many quarters over the persons on the original hearing board and the links, all be it tentative, to Middlesborough FC. This area needs to be escalated as much as possible by the club, as someone on Sky a few days back said, they must have had to look hard to find someone from all the lawyers out there that had some form of link, no matter how historical or pertinent to Middlesborough FC to sit on that hearing, time to hire a very good PR team ourselves and go after this issue to put doubt out there as to offence warranting the penalties given. Also other threads have thrown up the data protection issues when using payment data to obtain personal details in relation to the analyst sent to Middlesborough FC training ground. That also needs to be investigated by the payment card company to see if there are any data protection principle offences for any individuals involved. What other potential data protection issues may have also occurred during the production of so called evidence prior to the hearing, such as naming the "spy" and releasing the image into the public domain before the hearing. "We need to come out fighting now". A number of Saints fans have highlighted issues that don't seem to add up, Let us see if our Teams Lawyers and the like can do it. I've looked at my calendar and it is clear that yesterday I was a Saints Supporter, Today I am a Saints Supporter, and tomorrow onwards I will be a Saints Supporter.
