The player I thought we missed most against Stoke was our fighting midget Saito. He has caused opposition defences especially their right side huge problems of late AND he is decent defensively on our left side where we had big problems without him at Stoke. Unfortunately we'll miss him for at least the next 2 games. Yang looked good going forward when he came on that side, but we shouldn't be giving him the ball when under pressure in our back third of the pitch. |

Variation is the key for me. Do one thing all the time the Opposition will know about it and and should be better able to stop it. One of the few chances we had at Stoke was that long punt from Nardi that bounced and Dembele's speed and possibly Stoke's surprise gave him a decent chance. Think maybe he was trying to lob the Keeper like he scored his one and only goal for us if I remember right, but whatever his shot was tame. But it showed you don't have to have a big striker to play long, though obviously it helps. |

I think we've been in a relegation fight most of the season, and definitely since some on here were proposing we leave out on loan and/or out of contract players to give young players a chance to develop in the remaining meaningless games. |

I think we need 2 or 3 wins soonest to ensure safety. With all our injuries to key players and I guess Saito suspended for the next 3 games, plus weak back-up, I don't feel that confident about staying in the Championship another season. |

Just great to hear Eze scored and did well. Was underused by Southgate, just hope that is going to change. I think he is the player who can open up these packed defenses with his ability to dribble past defenders, more so than Foden, Bowen, Rashford and Gordon. |

I thought he was pretty good yesterday too, maybe our best player, though Cook, Dunne, Paal, Smyth, Edwards and Saito were also right up there. Don't think any anyone, subs included, had a bad game either. |

Edwards, Varanne (if fit) and Colback perhaps, or if Varanne isn't ready Edwards, Colback and Andersen. |

He's not done much for us but this seems like strange timing when Field, Varane and now Chair are out injured, Morgan way off form / possibly worn out, Colback creaking, Andersen only just back but still slow, Madsen barely playing and Edwards possibly being moved to defensive midfield as he was Saturday. |

Yang really needs to stop trying to play out of and losing the ball in dangerous situations which could easily have cost us more goals. To give him some credit though I think he did set up the huge chance for Paal strangely missing from the extended lowlights, and the chance for Morgan wellied way over. He's useful when we do get forward. |

Morgan has been poor in his last games. Last night he was way off it, Boro players were running past him like he wasn't there, like for there 2nd goal. Really hope he doesn't need to play Saturday. |

Marti said in his post match that Lloyd has been carrying a groin problem and they doubted he was fit enough to play a full game. |

Thought we played a lot of good football at times especially 1st half. Similar to SU we looked the better team except importantly in and around both the penalty areas. |

As I saw it on QPR+ Saito was the quickest player to react to that opportunity, both ours and their defenders, he moved very quickly to get his head to it first but a defender blocked his header. Don't think we got the corner so maybe it wasn't blocked, but Saito did well just to get there. Our go to offensive player and MOM for me again. |
