Respectfully, I think the suggestion we buy another striker in Jan is a bit mad. We have two strikers who knocked 10+ goals each in their first seasons at this level, who are ripe to kick on. Only a few months ago, we were arguing over how to play both of them at once or which one to drop. Get them fit again and Kone + Burrell and a supporting cast of Lloyd, Kolli, and the spirit of Obikwu, should be more than enough at this level. |

Absolutely this. Kamara probably made the run not expecting to receive the ball either, with the main aim to split the defender and create more space for Kolli. |

Honestly, I'm more concerned right now that Man City recall him and send him on loan to a Prem team. A chunky loan fee and bigger contribution to wages could tempt them. |

There's a QPR link this season, with Leigh-Anne Pinnock being married to Andre Gray. |

Agreed, think you're probably right about who is further advanced at 17, but the question for me is who is more advanced now and better suited to help the club on a Saturday, and that's surely Sutton, not Scarlett. |

Personally find it really odd that Scarlett has jumped ahead of Sutton in the pecking order. Sutton looks to be far away the better player currently, having played in League 2, the National League, and had loads more minutes for the Dev Squad and in the Youth FA Cup. Physically on an entirely different level to Scarlett. Imagine Sutton is being lined up for a move, although it will have to be National League now the EFL window is shut. |

I think after last season's experiences, Poku has shown us exactly what happens if you overplay him at this stage in his recovery. I'd absolutely treat him with kiddie gloves until he's really evidenced his fitness. Also, comparing the game now with the game a decade or more ago is a mistake. Modern football demands much more high intensity sprinting now - it's something like a 50% increase on football 10 years ago. You bring him on as an impact sub - he's not going to lock down a starting spot with Burrell and Kone kicking about, but if you're chasing a game and you need someone to bag a goal it makes sense to bring on one of the best finishers at the club. Don't have to talk about changing systems at this stage, just have a different option off the bench compared to the huff and puff of Alfie Lloyd. |

Overestimating your tolerance and thinking you can handle the vindaloo at the curry house. |

On the Poku song, I came up with a Poku/Love Really Hurts Without You song sat in my garden last year, but think this has come up entirely separately. You run down the wing and you cross the ball in to excite me You're turning me on, I know that it's wrong, but I Kwaaaame, the R's are going up with Pokuuu, The R's are going up with Pokuuu, He's scoring again, there's nothing you can do, Kwaaaame, ...(on repeat) |

There's nothing actually 'woke' about it, I hate the word and wouldn't use it except in jest. It's just a saying - I really didn't think people would take that bit seriously. [Post edited 4 Sep 13:37]

Andrew Ridgeley was a QPR fan, so how about a bit of Wham? Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go...? |

I lost count of the number of times he broke counter-attacks by stretching one of those legs around the Cardiff player and nipping the ball away. Also, the amount of his passes that are played first time is great to watch - moves it on so quickly. |

Was being very melodramatic. Financially ruinous might be a bit strong, but an expensive mistake. |

Does have a certain Stefan Johansen and Charlie Austin sort of feel to it, but packaged differently. Taking a decision that's probably not in the best long-term financial interests of the club (not flogging JCS for a few quid) in the hope that this year is finally the year we do something. Fine if we go up - financially ruinous if we don't. |
