I expect we've spent a fair bit this summer so a new striker would be far more expensive than just renewing Frey's contract. Fine with him being an impact sub and cover for Kone, as others have said.

Furthermore, we have one of the youngest squads in the league so retaining Frey means we have some of that dressing room experience that we're starting to run a bit dry of.
