Dembélé new boo boy?
at 00:13 21 Jan 2026

Thought he was regulation poor tonight with occasional contributions which spared him from being rated dire.

JS seems to see enough in him to keep giving him a start. Maybe he is brilliant in training?
Hopefully JS will be able to reconstruct him in time out of the unpromising bits I watched this evening.

2026 Bond
at 16:34 20 Jan 2026

When the QPR bonds were issued in November 2021 Bank of England base rate was 0.1% and the best you could do with a five year fixed ISA was 2%. Less for shorter terms. So 5% - 2% = 3% difference. Worth the risk? QPR v completely safe.

Now base rate is 3.75% and top five year fixed ISA 4.17%
I guess the risk is less now than we were looking at in 2021. Which is a plus but still financially less attractive.

If you are happy to gamble that your money and interest with QPR is completely safe then fine. I took the risk in 2021.

Agree. The original package was financially more attractive plus the purpose of the bonds was more tangible. Not sure that the take-up will be so good for this deal.

Main Reason you started following QPR ??
at 21:21 19 Jan 2026

Thanks to Hull City really. 1965/66.

I was there at Uni and was taken to Hull City games by blokes from our digs. Enjoyed it so much that I looked for games at home in the Easter vac. Home being Northolt and QPR was the easiest to get to. Also at that time QPR were fighting out the Third division with Hull and Millwall. Hull were flying, with 25,000+ crowds and epic games with Chelsea in the 6th round of the cup. Hull and Millwall went up and it was Rangers turn as clear champions the following year.

What I found at Loftus Road was a very entertaining team (Rodney Lazarus etc) and a great happy atmosphere including loads of humour. The final hook though must have been the League Cup win in 1967. Some great memories along the way.

Agree. I put him on ignore yesterday.

Apparently so ‘passionate’ he can’t see that he is just a pain in the *rse. Or maybe he can and that’s the point?

Stoke fans on QPR (whose side are you on?)

Yes we are better at home than we are away. Surprise!

Actually I'd rather it was that way round. It didn't stop 9000+ of us going to West Ham last week or a full complement going to Oxford Tuesday. In fact the away support is, I think, as good as it's been for a very long time.

The thing is that you would probably find that many of us are realists about our club, but as supporters we are not inclined to keep harping on about their limitations. No doubt there are a million chances to criticise if that is what turns you on. But constant negativity is generally a massive downer. It destroys enthusiasm and destroys confidence which is a important in professional sport.

You might think that fans constantly demanding perfection is the way to improvement and calling our team goons will drive them on. It doesn't and it won't. It's just a pain in the *rse.

My only regret from yesterday is that we didn't nick a late goal.

This seasons stats - goals scored and conceded, Xg for and against, shots etc etc all tell you that QPR are generally a more attacking and less defensive team than Stoke. Only three teams have scored more than us.

So I am not about to take any notice of Stoke criticisms about yesterday's match. There again I am a faithful and a QPR supporter.

For the camera Stephen seems to be an embarrassed dead Traitor walking for all the mistakes and guilt, yet in the turret turns mastermind. Can't believe some of this is not stripted?

Still enjoying it, but less so than previous series for the reasons others have given.

Harriet had all the aces, went bizarrely gung-ho and ended up chucking in her hand. Weird.

This series is not making much sense. Perhaps the BEEB is editing out a lot of stuff which shows why the Faithful are acting like headless chickens?

Sell Jon Varane ?
at 11:46 14 Jan 2026

I don't think he is getting stick from this forum, just realistic opinions about his ability and limitations. If he is worth £5M+ that must put him up amongst our most valuable players, maybe the most valuable? Personally I would have him behind Dunne, Burrell, Chair, Edwards, Madsen at least. Hence the belief that it looks a very good time to sell.

Impressed with Kolli yesterday.

Cannot agree with the criticism of Kone who put in a huge shift in a game which was especially difficult for a player of his type.

Agree with this.

He has a defensive value to the team but any offer of £5M+ seems more than generous for what he gives to this team. 65 appearances, 1 goal, 2 assists, a million backpasses?

Judged on previous series I am expecting to soon hear the phrase "Traitor on Traitor" for the bust up between Fiona and Rachel. In which case neither of them should last long. But this lot aren't the brightest judged by the clues they are missing/forgetting eg Stephen saying last night on the red fingerprint thing when only a Traitor would have known then, Reece being asked to leave Rachel & Stephen to the family tree at 5 to midnight.........

Could we go up.
at 11:09 22 Dec 2025

We are improving. Nobody knows where that's going to lead.
Plenty of years a team of ordinary Championship players that somehow click/get lucky/gain confidence and keep winning end up in the Prem.

For me who we've beaten and who's beaten us to date has little importance. I doubt Coventry, Boro or Ipswich will expect to have it easy next time. The Championship is far more random than that.

The current best odds of 17/1 are OK if you don't mind a bookmaker having your money for 6 months.

Yes but still designed for the job to last 10-20 years, whatever. :)

Good for athletics. Full for the London Grand Prix 2024 and now profitable at last. Awful for football, and Spurs were lucky they didn't fight too hard for it. More trying to stop West Ham.

This is true. The bottom tier (25k) was constructed as a permanent massive concrete structure and the top tier (55k) as a lighter-weight temporary structure which would be removed after the Olympics. If Seb Coe had a part in that type of design I imagine it was intended to make the stadium as difficult to convert for football as they could get away with. The threat of a football takeover would have been obvious to them.
Once the politicians got involved after the Olympics all they could think of avoiding being saddled with a 'White Elephant, whatever the costs and drawbacks of converting it.

Expectations for the rest of the season

New manager getting to understand what he’s got plus lots of rotation, not surprising that results aren’t much. Think we will be OK when things settle down, hopefully. If nothing else we have strength in depth which we didn’t have last year. Winning and losing spells are more or less random in the Championship for the likes of us imo.
