Swansea City's Jonathan de Guzman
at 09:44 9 Jun 2014

Noticed that BBC, Wales Online, Evening Post, etc. have all been calling him 'Swansea City's Jonathan de Guzman' when they write about his fitness battle for the game against Spain.

Is that because his loan officially ends on July 1st or something?

Fancy Dress - Southampton & Sunderland games....
at 18:13 23 Apr 2014

I'm sure neither of us care enough about what the other thinks to waste time debating our different viewpoints on here, so probably best we just leave it there.

But for the record, I don't find that video offensive. I would gladly write 'Vincent Tan wants to make everything red' and post it under my real name on Twitter for my family, friends and work colleagues to see.

Tell that to the guy who dressed up as him in Newcastle. If his face is usually that colour he needs to go to the doctor to have his liver function checked out, cos his hands are pink.

Real danger of some idiots taking it into unacceptable territory (if it isn't already) with yellow face paint and selotape on their temples.

For that reason, it's a no from me. Hope it goes unnoticed by the media too if it happens, cos it could paint our club in a very bad light.

Saw that list this morning. Great cause and everything, but I don't understand why anyone gives a sh!t about watching all those Eastenders and TOWIE people play football.

Be a bit different if you had someone from One Direction or something playing, because that seems to guarantee ticket sales from people who maybe aren't usually football fans, but is anyone really going to rush down to the Liberty to catch a glimpse of Adam Woodyatt and Danny Dyer?

Seeing as the likes of Forbes and Trundle are playing, would much rather see a Vetch XI take on a Liberty XI myself.

A FAN'S VIEW: Safety assured
at 14:30 22 Apr 2014

"AFTER 35 league games we can finally start looking forward to next season, knowing that we will once again be playing in the Premier League."

Read more: http://www.carmarthenjournal.co.uk/FAN-S-VIEW-Safety-assured-Monk-prove-worth/st

Call me a "chronic worrier", but you won't find me saying safety is assured until it actually is. Not inconceivable that we could lose our next 3 games.

I don't think we will, but I think it's really important that the atmosphere generated during the Villa game reflects how vital it is that we continue to get positive results that help us to get over that mathematical finishing line.

How many times have we thought we've done enough to be safe already this season? It ain't over til it's over.

And today's present from the scum....
at 14:48 17 Apr 2014

I can't see them having a chance of overturning the result when Sunderland got away with just a fine for fielding an ineligible player for 3 matches.

The Sunderland situation seemed to be more clear-cut cheating in my opinion. It's not like Moody broke into the CCS and stole the tactics board, someone at the club gave him the information he wanted (allegedly).

Thankfully it'll be the FA not the FAW making the final decision on this.

This made me laugh though: "Crystal Palace succeeded in their efforts and achieved an unexpected 3-0 win over the club."

Liberty No.1 for atmosphere
at 10:13 16 Apr 2014

Sorry if a repost, saw it this morning on Twitter — Liberty currently rated #1 for atmosphere in Premier League. Doesn't seem like a conclusive study though.

Also rate #1 on pints and programmes in the PL.

As for who I'd induct, I'd definitely go for Britton, Monk and Tate, but would personally prefer to wait until their playing days are over before inducting them (although that may not be possible for Britton if it's all going to be finished in 3 years). I'd also like to see Martinez up there, and possibly Rodgers and Laudrup too.

How do people feel about players like Sinclair and Scotland? Really important players in our recent rise but are they club legends? Sinclair will also be playing (or at least registered to play) for a good while to come.

Yeah, the Emirates is impressive, definitely the best new stadium I've visited. Really stamped their identity on it with that whole 'Arsenalification' thing.

Will have to pop in the Riverside to have a look on Sunday, all looking really promising for our own 'Swansification' (although that is a horrible word).

I know this will keep the Trust occupied for the forseeable future, but are there any other plans to 'Swansify' the Liberty after this?

Was really impressed by the timeline of Everton that runs around Goodison, although we'd have to share anything like that with the Ospreys and their parent clubs I imagine.

Be nice to see something of both teams in the concourses too. Club legends rather than the Butler/Pintado/Crainey portraits we were treated to a few years back (no offence intended to the artist cos I liked the style, just not the subjects).

Was wondering what the best result for us was from the Fulham vs. Norwich game (not so good at working out this stuff). Knew Planet Swans would have the answer.

Are any of you mathematicians able to work out the earliest date for a team to be relegated?

I think it's the fact you do things like call Old Trafford 'The Theatre of Dreams' that gets people's backs up tbh.

Agree with you on the first point, but they are still our rivals, if not our 'direct' rivals.

Anyway, that was a digression from this worthy cause. Hope it all goes well, hate to see clubs in trouble.

Swansea City's gift to the Norwich fans...

So many ex-Leeds players at Norwich. Think that's why I dislike them so much.

If I was picking teams to go down they'd be one of them.

My darling Rangel

If we stay up and sign a first-choice right back in the summer, do you think Rangel would stay and happily see out his final seasons with us as a senior squad member (as Monk seemed to be doing before his appointment) or look for first team action elsewhere?
