What's wrong with England fans ?
at 15:06 24 Jul 2021

Ditto Arfur.

I thought it was humorous enough but was surprised that it got censored. A sense of humour failure is always indicative of something/someone taking themselves too seriously.
A great shame, like you, I liked the site but it just seems full of miserable and unhappy people these days. All the interesting, bright posters seem to have fled. - are those two facts related?
A couple of the 'more challenged' do seem to like picking on 73 though which is always amusing.

Well done Nick!

Good to see that you can still do it - you should do more of them!

Coming originally from Surrey I bucked the trend and picked SFC to support.

PRISON OVERCROWDING
at 23:50 4 Sep 2013

The only certain lessons learnt from nearly 250 years of state prisons is that they don't really do much in the way of stopping crime or rehabilitating criminals.
They've been used, and still are, as society's dustbins. They give the general public respite for a few years or months from particular baddies but not much else.

Ed Miliband is a complete dweeb. Why did the Labour party put him in charge?
at 21:12 29 Aug 2013

The Unions wanted him as their pet leader as he was considered malleable.

They got what they wanted; now they, and everyone else except the Tories, want shot of him.

I wouldn't spend a fortune on clubs initially.

Get some lessons - that's where the money is spent to best effect when you start off. Otherwise you may find yourself having to dismantle and rebuild your swing later when you progress. And don't try to bust a gut trying to hit for distance - get a good relaxed swing (all the best golfers make it look so effortless) and let the club do the work.

A (2nd hand even) half set of irons and putter is not a bad start - and practise, practise, practise.

Good luck - it's a cracking game (if frustrating at times) and if you take to it you'll have years of pleasure. You'll never totally master it which is why it is such a constant challenge and delight.
