Perry fitted in well without standing out. But it's good that fans from his club rate him. Lots of tests ahead in February, a critical month.
Bilonga looks strong, protects the ball and has energy. Early days for him, and hopefully he gets to gel more with the team. He's only been here two minutes, though and is learning our game.
Of the new guys. I thought MD Mk2 looked great today, he's got skill, strong and good on the ball, and his finish was excellent, a well-timed execution that gave the keeper no chance. Another shrewd recruit for Jimmy, it's great, he has the knack of bringing in players who fit. It does help for new players with have had a nomadic career I think, coming into to a welcoming dressing room with good grounded characters who've been here a couple of years with good souls like Ebanks, KG, TAR.
A good victory against Brackley on Saturday puts us back on course—no time to panic. We've a good squad and excellent management to keep them fighting for the top.
Its Important to keep up pressure and fight that lead to our top spot. We don't have a divine right to pick up points from teams with their own survival/promo agenda.
Up against it tonight, and we need to be able to cope better against teams that like to go man-to-man and apply pressure in our half of the pitch.
Key players are out, and new heads are in, which is definitely affecting us. Rodney and Smith struggled to partner up. Walley ok defensively but slowed down the momentum when attacking, and Pritchard looked to be off the pace.
Great last 20 mins. Some of the other guys who came on who have been waiting in the wings maybe be given a chance next game
Tomorrow, York I think 3 points more than likely, Truro have only two points away....2 draws Saturday interest, Ill be getting on board with Yoevil won the last 2, the 'glovers' at home to beat FG.
..and i think i with a bigger squad this year, regulars on the teamsheet are putting in the work on matchday to keep there place. I'm happy McNulty isn't squad rotating for the sake of keeping players happy.
Dale playing with discipline, closing down a tentative Altrincham. No press from them which suits us. Our constant harassing without the ball is giving us a big advantage. Doing really well without our missing players. The players seem to be enjoying their football.
Waller the left back debutant has done nothing wrong keeping it simple and confident on the ball. Solid first half and now 3 points clear.
Agreed, I thought it was a decent half. We set up so many chances. Someone next to me said, 'If we got points for corners, it would be a cricket score.'
I think Petit took his first full game well and owned his position. Quality passing, good defense, and vision. I think he deserves his place in the starting 11 on Saturday.
Sitting on the sidelines must have been painful. Benched, waiting for a chance. But if he can now go on and dominate that position, other players will have to up their game.
Yes, Bobby Grant, a player, easily wound up, fiery character. A favourite of Coleman's, who scored a lot of goals for us under Reign.2012 season, I think.
I respect what he's done for teams without much finance. Dunno, about the dug out stance though. He parted with Bell due to Bell's personal issue with distance and travel, but he's had a great career working miracles with Accrington in the EFL. I hoped he could do a job when at Dale, but that went abit t1ts up.
I think John Coleman knows what a Dale team is all about, and had the shots fired up. Pressing hard and putting us under a lot of pressure. Performance is not really that important today, but the win definitely was.
Looking forward to this encounter, and I would think the squad can't wait to show that we are the best team in the league. No injury doubts reported. Smith's confidence is high, so maybe more exposure and goal chances for him, deffo deserves to be playing against York. Beat York and it's definitely a trip to the offy on a school night. Pitch is what it is this season. The club has it all in control, doing what they can. Hopefully a dry Thursday up until the weekend. What a great season so far!
