Six Days That Decide The Season
at 22:53:00

what a load of old tosh , we have 3/4months to decide our season just the same as everyone else , wether their challenging for a title or fighting relegation , theres no set way of saying where or when a team might or might not pick up points or there would never be any shock results , the only thing thats decides the season is the point when you have enough points to stay up or can no longer get enough points to stay up , as for new players , its a well known fact its differcult to sign quality players in jan as most players are under contract and playing for teams that are already , fighting for a title or in a relegation scrap so there clubs dont really want to let them go unless its for silly money , so to me as long as you get the right player for the right price then fine , but cant see the point in signing players for the sake of it

Will Saints Splash The Cash ?
at 09:39:25

i think we should leave it to NA and NC. i was disappointed when we didn't do a lot in the summer i really thought we would struggle, but the players brought in have done really well since they have been here, so for me it proves the people at the top know more about running the club than me, im looking forward to the rest of the season, im sure there will many more ups and downs, but im just hoping we can keep going , as for the prem, well for me i dont think i'll ever enjoy watching saints as i have the last 2/3 years without the need to watch prem football , in fact the lower leagues are much more honest where, brighton apart you see very little blatant cheating, and surrounding the ref etc, i for one am on the bus and quite happy for the company to sort out who drives it

firstly,good debate nick
but i have to disagree with you as in people not giving valid reasons for not going as i think all the reasons on here are valid to some people in one way or another.i dont know you personally so therefore don't know where you work, what you earn, or if you have kids etc but of course all these things effect peoples disposable income and at the moment without doubt people are on the whole a lot worse off than they were even last year, as for petrol and food not going up in the last 12 months i think you have got that wrong, but again how much depends on how much you use e.g if you can walk to work then you may not notice how much petrol has gone up, but say you travel to work in london i would say the cost of fuel has gone up at least £5 a day so over a week the cost of an adult ticket. so its not a matter of making excuses for people its a matter of pointing out what some of the reasons might be. as for why we had a full house for west ham and a lot less for peterboro as i said before, maybe people counted their pennies and decided they could only do one of the games and decided that west ham being our main challengers at the time as well as being a bigger team would be the one they would like to spend their cash on and get behind the team and try to cheer them on to victory. i also don't think the football bubble has burst and believe that if times get better people will return.

nick i too thought there might be a few more there on our way down we were thinking maybe 23000/24000 as i think that is about our hardcore support as some have said before it can be hard to get there for an evening game if you live out of town as a large amount of people do, we were 2 kids short last night due to school in the morning (we don't get home til gone 11 with a good run) also it is my feeling that as this recession go's on and on people r finding it even harder this year, the cost of living has gone up and a hell of a lot of peoples money has gone down even more, it costs us over £20 just to drive there and park and with all the games we have had lately people might well have to pick the games they go to and lets be honest who would u pick west ham or peterboro

from above
i think the way N A has got us set up and playing that were are going to leave gaps at the back i think all teams that try to play attacking football e.g spurs, man u, arsenal etc always let a few in too, but i for i cannot remember when i enjoyed watching saint so much and its so good to watch i dont even get that down when we lose

Saints At Derby The Verdict

nick, to be fair the goal we conceded sat was a bit unlucky as in the way the ball bounced straight to them from fonte's attempted clearance wrong footing our defence and even when kelvin made a great save it went straight to robinson who was also shown to be offside in tv replays i accept that the whole incident started on the halfway line due to a poor pass and cork i think being robbed of the ball but lets be honest in any game you'll find a lot of poor passes in the middle of the park that go unpunished i think we were just dead unlucky with that goal, i thought the defence on the whole has started to look a lot better and on sat coped well with a team that didn't look that bad when they did get forward. on the attacking front i thought we looked good going forward and with a bit more luck, and lets be honest we all know that luck good and bad is part of the game we would have scored a couple more and won the game. on a final note in my first comment on here i think the way
