The way it has been for us the past few years, something like that would not be a surprise.
After saving the club and now saving the pitch and potentially this whole season, the Ogden family should have bloody statues up outside the ground or something. (this is a joke, but seriously can't thank them enough!)
Mani today did what Amantchi did very well against Solihull Moors. He occupied defenders and allowed others around him to get the chances. Not a standout game by any means but he will be there when the chances come to add to his goal tally.
Pritchard was excellent, subs were solid coming on... feeling pretty optimistic about our chances with this squad.
York will take some stopping but it's looking now like a bit of a breakaway top 5. I hope we can emphasise that next Saturday.
One the one hand Carlisle look very good here (at 2-0 up[edit 2-1 immediately after i pressed post]) but Southend are dire at the back. The defending for the first especially was awful.
Their commentators mentioned control and comfort so many times today for us, and that pretty much sums it up. Aside from the 1v1 early on they never looked like scoring - I'd back Whatmuff against Kairo 9 times out of 10 anyway. I thought a lot of the timewasting was a bit unnecessary but it worked out in the end.
It looks like Rodney scares their midfield into sitting deep, leaving the forwards isolated. Aside from some scuffed shot attempts he's having a very good game again.
