I think the negative thoughts are from people myself included stems from the ridiculous risk taking from the stupid play at the back
If you have highly talented players who are comfortable on the ball under pressure
Then this is a hard set up to stop
However the major flaw to our plan is we don’t possess any players who are in that bracket
So we are constantly shooting ourselves in the foot
Let’s be honest so far to concede 61 goals in the championship is beyond belief
I think the ideology of supporting your club should not blind anyone to common sense
I have supported the saints for over 60 years and I think at this stage I have experienced more lows than highs
However I wouldn’t have it any other way
When the highs come it’s a joy to behold
This season has been good however I’m afraid when results were required against the top teams
We were found wanting

All this shows is how far off the pack in this division we actually are
Personally it makes me laugh when you start the tippy tippy bullshit with mediocre players
As regards playoffs. Can you truly imagine this team being promoted
We would be lucky to win 1 match.
It’s been a enjoyable season

Only 1 shot to deal with and he spilled
Then messing about and almost gave a goal away

What’s the point
Let’s be honest if we did manage to get promoted
Can you imagine what next season would be like
We are an above average championship team

I have followed saints for almost 60 years
This possession football scenario would be good if we actually punished teams when we are in control
If you have players good enough to play this style then no problem
We don’t, no point singling out particular players
We will never progress much higher in reality with the current selection we have available

We are shocking
However what was more surprising is how brutal Leicester were
There’s no doubt against decent team we would be destroyed

Watching this today was shambolic, so slow // so narrow against 10 then 9. Ridiculous
Carrying on like this and it’s relegation to look forward too rather than the heady heights we briefly attained
