Comment | Four-year plans – Preview

Clive, in 2010/11/12 I was involved in the Lincoln City academy when they decided not to have the Lincoln City academy anymore. It was brutal. A number of age groups eventually survived (think parents ££££s) and good players emerged (none in the year groups I watched/ was involved in made it for the record!) but the 'Yma O Hyd' (google it English kids) spirit prevailed and their pipeline remained.
An outstanding club, kept alive by outstanding people with a fantastic academy philosophy.
I respect that you cant have a 'second club' so they can 'fu ck right off' but if we finish above them I hope they finish somewhere above 16th ;-)

Fantastic and brave writing. Poignant as I lost my mum last week to something similar. Mum was Chelsea, Dad Rangers. It is the thing we have always done together. Thank you for distracting me a little this morning x |

Alex - great piece. Actually gave me goose bumps. And to be blunt at my age (I'm having the jab tomorrow to give you an indication) I should know better. BUT this ramshackle tin pot (sometimes) shower of shit are ours. And every decade and a bit on average they give us something to smile about That said. Cant help but think you should have done better with your 'glory-hunting/ bandwagon jumping skills. |

Completely underwhelmed by his arrival. More excited by Goss. I really do know fcuk all about football - I've only been a season ticket holder for 40 years this year. Still learning the QPR way
Most unexpectedly exciting player I've seen in a very long while. Great article by the way ….. even if it was a crap headline ;-) |
