Reasonable Weekend For Saints So Far
at 13:00:07

StSaint is saying if our rate of improvement continues. Another 1.2 points a game (last 10 game trend) for the remaining 21 games would not constitute a continuing improvement, rather us continuing current trend. Mid-table is a tad ambitious but I can see us continuing to pick up a greater number of points over the next 10 game periods (learn to read Nick).

Must Win Games Are Back In Town
at 15:05:39

And owing to the randomness of football outcomes coupled with our ability to win against the best and lose to the worse (in and around us) - Saints have done this for as long as I can remember, you can bet your bottom dollar that we will lose some of our 'must win' games but beat other teams that we wouldn't be expected to beat.

Saints At Arsenal The Verdict

"we have a squad that clearly isnt up to the task." What based on opening games against the top three last season? The players need to adapt, learn and grow - ability is not set in stone, things change!

Pompey Game Completely Sold Out
at 20:58:45

I spoke to the club about this. They are not enforcing rather, advising people to collect Pompey tickets by tomorrow to lessen the demand on Saturday. I too can't collect mine until then but was told that it is OK.

Agree but unfortunately I think you are preaching to the converted. I don't see many anti-Guly comments on your board. These guys are elsewhere. It needs to be cracked down on at the ground and spoken about in the pubs beforehand.

well said. the hammers actually need to win by a goal margin of six or more = GD between us and them is +5 and we've scored more goals.

Attendances - The Debate
at 09:34:41

I have never found attendance boring nor irrelevant. All Saints fans I know are obsessed with attendances. It's an important comparable gauge of our progress.

Sorry Nigel But Actions Speak Louder Than Words
at 09:23:20

Nick this is exactly the point I was making on not 606 where others feel he went for the money. I have no doubt our contract offer would have been more lucrative than the one offered by Huddersfield and that his move was primarily motivated by the opportunity to be first-choice and play regular football

Jaidi Staying ! This Means Departures !
at 13:11:57

le god7 by your use of the word 'play' the ball out of defence I assume you mean passing it out on the deck/finding a Saints player. IMO Seabourne does neither, he frequently hits the long ball from the back which more often than not loses us the ball and puts us under pressure again. His left foot is OK. His one-on-one ability however is not that great, I'm remembering how he was well passed by CMS against Peterborough at London Rd. I'd very much rather a new CB to go alongside Fonte with Seabourne to go with Martin and Jaidi as backup.

Are FA Cup Tickets Too Expensive
at 20:16:17

Nick - I'm not normally one to disagree with your attendance 'rants' or anything referring to attendance/pricing but in this instance I think it's best not to plant the seed in people's heads. A proportion of the fanbase will have thought more about the added prestige of it being a 3rd round game, in the cup against a Prem team and as a result will overlook the prices. To mention it as being overpriced prompts similar thoughts/sentiments amongst the fans as yours. More importantly, we are the wrong audience.

Some of us may or may not agree with the pricing but at the end of the day there is very little we fans can do about it through this medium. The club will not take note of this as part of an article, it needs to be communicated through the appropriate channels do you not think? I'm partly saying this because I saw no problems with the prices until I read this article but now I am too thinking it's overpriced and if I wasn't such an addict, this article might have swayed me from going! I would not be the only one.

come on lads, lets have a good turnout tomorrow and put any negativity to the side for the whole 90mins! Win tomorrow and with that game in-hand coming up in a few weeks we could be right back in the reckoning!

We have a massive part to play, let's do our bit!

Lallana Under The Knife
at 15:59:14

Good article, short and positive. Just what we need at the moment! Let's all get some perspective, the season is young. We have time and a good squad on our side.

I'd rather lose Lallana at this stage of the season than towards the end. Plus, it could turn out to be a good thing - all 3 left-sided players, particularly Dickson and Mills can make a difference and need a chance.

Fingers crossed Cortese makes the right appointment!
