A game of chance, for fun
at 03:18 15 Oct 2026

I don't know but I'm more in line with WR in that our squad depth is really superior to about all of the Championship clubs. Let's talk about this after we play West Ham, Middlesbrough, and Wolves. Our only loss is to Southampton who has higher odds than us to win the league. So, have we learned from that defeat? 94 points.

Here's what I stated on Sept 24, timestamped 23:45, on the thread, "Supercomputer Predictions":

I believe. I believe we have the talent both raw and experienced, excellent squad depth, a savvy manager, great fans, and the best owners. I'm predicting 28-10-8, 94 points. It will be a dogfight for the top two auto-qualifiers with WHam and Wolves with Swans being in the mix, maybe Middlesbrough but I think we have more depth than they do, maybe more depth than Wolves and WHam.

WHAM @ Lincoln City for an 8pm game Wed. Then down to Swansea. Swans have one more day of rest and are at home.

The Swans intend to impress at Millwall this evening. Plus Monga latest
at 20:19 13 Oct 2026

I am being fair. Yes, he's only 17. I get that. But when you're not showing up on the manager's named team for an upcoming game, you probably start to question why you're not being named. You can start blaming others or your perception of circumstances of the situation, or you can look in the mirror and say I can do better.

Man City, despite all of their legal issues, are in 1st place in the PL. Where's he going to fit in to that team this season? He isn't and it's the reason City loaned him out. If he can't even make the bench on game day with the #1 team in the Championship, then what's City going to think? I'd be busting my butt trying to impress the coach! Apparently he's not doing that.

From the article: "This most certainly looks like a player expecting far more than he is getting at this moment in time set against a reasonable expectation by the Swans for him to integrate, turn up for training, agree to development, learn from model professionals like Josh Tymon and Jay Fulton and generally remain modest regards all the effort that is being put into his future by the Swans and his parent club."

Yes, I was implicitly referring to Renato Sanches...

Nearly 400+ views so far on this story. Surely I'm not the only one who's thinking that maybe, and a big Maybe, that Monga thinks his loan to a Championship club is beneath him? If this is the case, then even if his athleticism and football skills are beyond his years, his maturity and personal life's decision-making is quite lacking? Starting to remind me of another youngster who supposedly had all the talent in the world (or so he thought) but felt he was above being loaned to Swans.

I agree. We have more and better scorers, and a better defence.

Former Swans shine in Stoke's win at Bolton today: Galbraith with an assist for the 1st goal; Wilmot scores the 2nd goal. And, they won with 10 players after one player sent off in the 20th min with the score 0-0.

We need Socialist or even Communist economic policies
at 15:54 10 Oct 2026

What we need is a socialistic/communistic experiment to play out Trampie's call for action. Let's get the world to approve such a place for folks that have these beliefs to start this experiment on a lush, green island with enough electricity, farm land for crops and livestock, roads for transporting goods, and all the things needed for a society to be successful but led by a communist/socialist leader to implement "Socialist or even Communist economic policies". Let's see how long it is before either the island residents applaud and show their support, or they cry for help.

Wait a minute...this experiment has already occurred on a formerly lush island with all the trimmings called Cuba!

How's that experiment looking, Tramps!! What a bone-headed comment! Unfortunately, there are a lot of Trampies out there that continue to believe this BS! Fortunately, there are no success stories in the history of mankind that anyone can point to when it comes to Socialism/Communism.

It's better to pay a slightly higher price for a short period of time rather than have Iran/IRGC hold the Western Europe, Israel and the rest of the Arab states hostage due to having a nuclear bomb pointing in our directions. You think petroleum is high now, then imagine what it would be if the terrorist IRGC had been successful in their attempt to deceive the world that they weren't close to having a bomb.

This Iranian conflict is near the end if the US & Israel can keep out the other bad actors (Russian, N. Korea, and China) from "helping" the IRGC. The IRGC has run out of money, bankrupted their country due to the US economic embargo, and are close to being toppled, hopefully by their own citizenry/good Iranians.

Right now, gasoline here in North Carolina where I live is just under $4.00/gal. Tomorrow it will be 41 cents cheaper ($3.59/gal) due to a suspension of the state's gas 41 cent gas tax. A lot of states are suspending their state's gas taxes.

Trump signed an Executive Order to ease restrictions on the use of red-dyed diesel fuel, which is exempt from federal taxes. Red-dyed diesel is used by farmers and off-road Heavy Equipment (construction vehicles). This EO will allow transportation carriers for agriculture crops to use it.

Brighton

Thanks, WR, for posting the link to this article. Very informative! I found the following very interesting:

"That track record of being able to nurture young talent in different ways plays a big part in why a number of players agree to come to Brighton."

For (Mike) Cave (Brighton's Sporting Director), "arguably the most critical part" is integrating players into the city and the culture of English life.

"We can have all the data, all the character backgrounds, context and information that's available," Cave added.

"But ultimately when that individual and their family arrives in Brighton, how we onboard them, how we embed them, how we make them feel like it's their home all contributes to them being the best version of themselves on the football pitch.

"We want players to come to Brighton and thrive and enjoy the city, enjoy the football club."

Will the Swans try the free agent market ? We have the latest exclusive news

I'm not the manager but, in my opinion only, the only immediate need MAY be a right-sided fullback/wingback if Key's injury is going to be a lengthy one. Again, can Ronald show any versatility here in the event that Lissah gets a fifth yellow? Can Welsh play in Key's position? What about Parente? Is he strictly a left-sided fullback?

I thought it was a pretty good article, mentioning Swans twice, with the 2nd time being a full paragraph about his play at Swans due to Matos believing in him. It is after all an article about Welsh, his inclusion in the Scotland team, and being capped for a possible 4th time tonight.

I would say most of us are in disbelief. We've never had a manager whose team is in 1st place after 8 games and would point out to management/owners that there's a weakness that needs tweaking in the positional area you suggest and ask about dipping into the free agent market.

Wow!! I can only shake my head at your deluded post! You should thank your lucky STARS (and STRIPES) that you weren't required to speak German, Russian, Farsi, or Mandarin. But then again, maybe you wouldn't mind the latter two or three at all!

Man City Guilty of Financial Irregularities

Found this in a TEAMTALK article today re: Man City's future financial problems and revenue shortfall from TEAMTALK Oct 5, 2016 - "Man City facing financial armageddon and brutal £500m annual loss prediction after FFP ‘catastrophe’" https://www.teamtalk.com/manch

“What Manchester City will struggle to do is to sell the boxes, to sell the experiences, to sell the Tunnel Club offerings at the prices which they’ve been charging this season. Because you can’t do it. You can’t do it at home to Swansea and expect to get the same money coming in as you have when you’ve got Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and so on.”

Thanks, OHL, I actually admire your prose-like posts! Makes me think and re-read to make sure I understand what you're trying to point out or say.

I get frustrated sometimes with certain posters' spelling & grammar but have learned to "read on" and interpret as best I can. Yours is generally good.
