So you are already predicting we won't be in the top ten next season Ned. Think if we.keep Marti that should be seen as a neccessary target for us... I think Yang isn't go to Spurs next season and we could get a season long loan that Spurs could recall in January and Saito, I think the deal has already been done but not.announced. Love Saito bowing to the crowd when he is subbed Surprisingly strong considering his size [Post edited 13 Apr 22:40]

Let's just finish this nonsense here He will be at Rangers next season. The end. If he isn't, even for QPR, that's up in the top three of stark raving bonkers decisions Anyone who doesn't want him here next season or doesn't think he will be, I would suggest a long lie down in a darkened room Charlie Kelman QPR squad member 2025 /2026 - might even update Wikipedia- it's 100% certain. I will have a look at that Ted I followed QPR from 1974 but was a very young boy in Stans time. So unfortunately slightly before my time for the memory banks. Sure it's an interesting read Times change so much It's difficult to predict how it could be in another 50 years. Probably watching robots play the game.... |

It's in the family !!!! And to think we were linked with 17 year old Ethan Mbappe also. Although along similar lines, we signed Anton Ferdinand !!! |

You have clearly given up on him Brian He is not going to every be a Jack Colback in character or play. But there were signs today, he has started to adapt to the physicality of the Championship Was the difference today tbf as was crucial in the build up to our goal. Yes he faded but to be expected - he has hardly played recently . I think if he had been a free signing, the words on him now from some would be a lot more positive and it's not his fault how much money we paid for him. He has the rest of the season now to impress. I am hopeful without saying he will definitely now turn it around. There are signs of great vision, some skill and actually tbf a bit more bite finally too. Him and Celar both now in same boat - and with both it must be hard to know you are not doing what you could do, with thousands viewing your poor performances. To go out and finally put in a couple of decent performances for me shows some bottle It would be all too easy and give up a la a Taylor Richards, who is coming back our way soon. Most of us on here have never played professional football but when .managers show faith in certain players, then I feel we should trust their judgement over ours. Two decent showings and two assists. I don't think it's the time to be still knocking a player down that the manager definitely rates. Orient fans were against the loan of Kelman after a previous poor season with them in league two. But he was awful that season. I know it's early days but the improvements are certainly there. Let's trust the management team and see what happens Eze was very poor with physical aspects of the gamein his early days and he improved with better coaching I think behind the scenes they have helped Madsen and there are some signs. But still for me fans still beating him down, it's not the time for that. And again if he had been a free, the criticisms after the last two games would not be spoken Let's see where things go. |

I felt it was a very solid display and one things for sure, he doesn't lack for confidence. If there was a reasonable chance to take him, I would. I think the decisions to try the outrageous when the simple is neccessary, I think he will learn. There is a player in there, definitely... |

I backed Rory prior to tournament at 7 to 1 He was in great form prior to this, winning in a play off However I had money on him to win the major last season and could have cashed out when he was one potentially two shots up with three holes to play and he missed two gimmes after. Could have cashed out and got £220 but thought it was inevitable so the £300 coming my way, ended up being zero. Think, it's all dependent on Dechambeau, if he doesn't perform today, Rory has this one Fingers crossed !!! |

Was a decent performance from the guy today. Especially the first half an hour, he won challenges, had a lot of possession and played inventive balls forward and nice flicks and heavily involved in the goal. I think he seems to work better with the little guys up front than either a fast and furious Kolli or a bulldozer in Frey. Think he could have potential to be a decent player in a team on the front foot but in a team with their backs up against the wall it's obvious others are more relevant for this but fair play, you have to say well done as it is difficult for any player when their form has been so poor. Genuinely pleased for him but it's early days and he has to do this on a much more consistent basis but you could see his qualities today which hasn't shown much as yet. Encouraging anyhow.... | Forum Thread | Home game availability as one off tickets ??? at 10:18 12 Apr 2025
I am considering next season not having a home season ticket as I can't justify cost going up 23 times a season. Worked out it's about 16 visits that justifies the cost of a season ticket. But probably going forwards am likely only go up ten times a season going forwards. Just asking, as is it quite straightforward to always be able to purchase home tickets in advance easily for whichever game you want to attend ???? Think I would quite enjoy viewing games from different parts of the stadium also.. [Post edited 12 Apr 10:19]

Was just thinking as read that Stan used to have a last minute bet on races half hour before the games. Was this actually true ??? As can't understand that he would not have been mobbed by fans whilst doing this. Yes i know it's a different era and maybe all just left him to it. As I know from living in Portsmouth in the late 80s and early 90s, Alan Ball was Portsmouth manager back then and I was often in the bookies when he would randomly pop in watch his race, screw up his betting slip and come back in another day and everyone left him alone. It wasn't done on match days though. Was just wondering those that are old enough, do they remember Stan being in the bookies before the game and was he left to his viewing pleasures on his own or did the fans circle around him.. If these things happened today, I reckon people would be after selfies , a chat and God knows what !!! Different times... |

Years ago was in a Bournemouth hotel bar and we asked barman as we saw i think a jeraboam bottle of champagne in there and asked if anyone had ever bought it. It was humongous. Anyhow yes he said a woman was in there with two of her mates celebrating her divorce and she bought this bottle and the cost was astronomical. £2500.. Her divorce settlement must have been decent !!! Impossible for them to drink even a small percentage of it though but he said she said it was symbolic or words to that effect !!! Nice words Disco. It makes me realise sometimes I am a bit of a numpty on occasions, and like most on here I haven't a clue what I am talking about but it's a great resource and even if I don't know people personally, it's a nice place to talk a load of old nonsense and saves me having to watch Eastenders and Big Brother with my full attention- not my chosen programmes of choice !!!! For those reasons alone, it's a good thing, loftforwords exists !!!! |
