The lino version of that. Its usually the young ones that are doing the naughty teenage boy thing..Still not good but you could put it down to young boys wanting to appear big or finding it funny. Regards calling a linesmen that in a game, for me, i personally think that would put the linos back up and any 50/ 50 situations likely to go in favour of the oppostion, as a consequence. |

"Go stand in the corner Colin. Your wise cracks are not big and they are not clever." Words your old teacher may have uttered Colin. I may well have been hiding behind my satchel at the time, trying desperately that i didnt find what the naughty boy said as funny !!! |
 | Forum Reply | Have we signed the same player four times in the last year? at 17:57 2 Jan 2026
Poku is 5 foot 11. Thought it was a positive, we signed him as it could have been Mr Yang as our extra wing signing and Poku has had very limited time and from what i have seen so far, he shows promise. Lets not demolish players without giving them any kind of chance to build up their form. |
 | Forum Reply | Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? at 17:51 2 Jan 2026
Not depressed as half expected this outcome. Fwiw, I think we will now win comfortably against Sheff Weds. Its QPR, so like most on here, have had a lifetime of disappointments or after the lord mayors show affairs, so have understood how to deal with it.I immediately attempt to eradicate it from the memory banks. So much practice. Its annoying though, no doubt. This squad of players definitely has quality, so thats why poor performances or poor run of results impact. We all know we are way better than that. |

Being mentally unwell does not correlate with individuals that would definitely do such a thing. In my experience, as having suffered poor mental health myself and working in support roles helping people who are mentally suffering, would say the cases where people start being nasty, vicious and horrifically manipulative like this, are extremely rare. Perhaps, only a small percentage more than a person who does not suffer their own mental torment. Its why mental illness is still much misinterpreted and treated by those without insight and empathy as to how people suffer with diagnosed conditions. The person that has done this to Smythie and to you to Clive, also. There is no other word for it, they are evil, without morals and a criminal. But absolutely not, would the great majority who suffer with their mental health do this in anyways much like the rest of society, as a whole. Hope the individuals concerned get locked up, to consider about the impact of their awful actions and words. Clearly they have enough insight to consider that they can get away with this and subsequently enjoy their notoriety. But its not right or helpful to call out this person as mentally ill as a given. That kind of belief sets back anti mental health stigma campaigns about more understanding mental ill health, by a couple of decades or so. Hope the perpetrator gets their come tuppence as soon as. The police are particularly poor at cracking down on these incidents, but in reality this is a police matter and if there were deterrents people would not do it. [Post edited 2 Jan 16:19]

Played like Queens Park Strangers today. Only two players that put in decent showings were Hayden & Mbengue. Rest of the team and the management staff - hang your heads in shame. That performance was totally unacceptable !! I hate many of the imposters, we regularly seem to recruit to represent this club. Enjoy your very expensive cars, your very expensive lifestyles and your very expensive homes. Putting on that sh*tshow when fans are travelling in freezing conditions on our limited budgets to see this team play. Stand up and be counted next time. Otherwise get your sideways moves out of here. If players are reading, it looked like you werent trying. Thats seriously not ok. |

34 years on from rhe day where went up with a mate up to Old Trafford on Supporters Club Coach with the most banging of headaches from the festivities the night before. Man Utd 1 QPR 4. And the overhang miraculously disappeared. 34 years later, here i am plodding on up to see QPR Norwich with some dreams.fulfilled, some missed from a great height and throughout it all still trundling up to see the players in blue and white hoops appempting to play good football. Has to be a similar performance today QPR 5 Norwich 1. Burrell (2), Smyth, Kone, Madsen (pen) Some times, you take the right choices in life..... |

Yes never wear the pink and black. Play as Celtic. We cant perform in pink and black. The players dont like the design !!! |

Think that's incredibly harsh comment Clive. He has done well this season and whatever has changed there, we are all grateful for that. The last two games the whole team have been bang average and also especially re West Brom, it was a very makeshift team, which I think with players out of position was not the fault of Madsen or others within the team but a ridiculous team selection and set up by the manager. I dont think anyone has Madsen now as the new messiah but is performing reasonably well for a player at this level and take as you find, I say. Every single player is entitled to a bad game here and there. Let's not lose all hope again. There is no reason as yet to do that. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 9:06]

If Chair plays and Madsen and Dembele are in the team, Chair is in third place as to who takes over the set pieces. However, if Chair is in the team, he will pull rank and take all the set piece moves but he really should not. However, would you argue with a bloke who seems to be between a rock and a hard place. God knows what happened with that scenario, but most would not do that. Easily conveniently forgotten by Rangers fans. Was all rather strange. |

So would i Brian and I think a cheeky loan bid for Declan Rice is worthy of a try. To be fair, for where we are currently, Madsen, Varane, Field and Hayden is reasonable recruitment for what we can afford. If you asking for better recruitment, who exactly would you choose, given that you are saying our recruitment of centre midfielders is poor. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 8:07]

I had heard Chair was to be available again for the new year games. If Madsen went off with a knock the other day, personally i would put Chair into centre midfield instead of Madsen and for me, i might actually give Field / Hayden the other centre mid berth. I think Varane needs time and coming off the bench for a few games might help him get back his form also. Always wondered if Chair could be that man as he does often drop back to gain possession in games and has already shown that to be the case. |

He has been thrown in at the deep end. If you follow your logic at how long we wait. He was signed as a development squad player as have many before him. Look at Adamson, four years older, Bennie, Pearman, Kolli, Tuck, Tylon Smith. In fact all the above are older than Esquerdinha and also either English or from English speaking nations also. And yet all have hardly played or not played at all. It was a needs must with Esquerdinha as Larkeche out for the season. And I think RND would have been signed even if Larkeche hadnt got injured. Larkeche wasn't showing good enough qualities in the pre season games anyhow for me to be number one left back.. And at 22, he was sent out on loan for a season away at Dundee. Esquerdinha has been hung out to dry unnecessarily for me and it seems he is more suited as a player further up the pitch anyhow. If JCS was ever available, he has the ability to play left back and surely this game, if you are resting RND, then play Sam Field at left back and if you want to give Burrell a break, then play Kolli where Field played up front. We basically decided we would get nothing away at West Brom, and fulfilled the remit. Think that one was on the manager, very harsh to blame Esquerdinha for me. Give the guy a break, I say. He got no help from Saito on the left also. Was a ridiculous team set up for me. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 6:58]

You missed out Rob Dickie from that list at the same level. And is captain at Bristol City who are consistently in the top ten. Him and Dunne together were treated poorly by the fans back then and I could understand why he was keen to leave. But you could realistically look at the fact, they played together under Ainsworth. In hindsight, it would have been better for us to keep him. He was aware he was leaving when he put in an absolutely immense display in a Burnley away win, who were in the top two, which was the difference between us being relegated or not. At one stage with a couple of 25 yard hits to boot, we all thought he could be a premier league player. His lack of pace has probably been the reason why he never got that chance. Team mates talking to each other with their hands over their mouths. As if what they are saying is going to give the opposition some kind of advantage, or perhaps they are moaning about a team mate, or giving their opinion about the ref or slagging off their manager. Ridiculously though, many so called internet journalists would make some kind of ckick bait nonsense out of it, but the whole darned thing is madness !!! [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 4:39]

I doubt he was bought to play any games this season, apart from an occasional sub appearance. I know RND was brought in after Larkeche's injury, but I feel that might have been the plan anyhow. Yes and he is thrown in with a weaker team all round also and in general against teams where , on form, we are less likely to be competitive. Hung out to dry a little bit for me. He is 19 years old. First time away from family and in a foreign land, million miles away from his native Brazil, no real knowledge of the English language when he got here also. Am guessing all his experience being in Brazil previously, he is playing as Brazilian left backs perform anyhow. Feel its harsh to call him out myself. Been badly mismanaged for me. Esquerdinha, I see personally as a wing back or an attacking wide man. His attacking qualities and pace are much superior to his defensive abilities. Don't know if others agree with this assessment. It appears obvious to me but perhaps not to our coaching staff. I was completely astonished to see Field as a ten. Or second striker. In a five a side knockabout on Xmas day, yes , but in an actual eleven a side championship league game away at a rival - think Julien must have had too much Vino with his Xmas Turkey !!! He is one that sometimes gives the impression that he has some qualities within but the potential never seems to appear. Am not sure why. i thought he could have been a half decent league one player, but clearly not. |
