Walking is easy around Manhatten and up to Central Park.

I like Long Island and plenty of trains head out there. Long Island Station is just a few blocks from the endless beach.

I paused the tackle last night and when the ball leaves the two of them both of the Preston players legs are still behind Cirkin's left leg. His right leg doesn't come in to play.

I really can't see the club appealing and they shouldn't.

A word with someone about the Ref I would be in favour of. We can debate whether Cirkin's tackle merited a red card all day long but the red card was given because the Referee crumbled under the pressure from the Preston players which is wrong.

It looked an impressive miss from a yard out but the defender was right on top of him. Putting a positive spin on it at least Alfie was exactly where he was supposed to be.

There is always going to be an element of follow through with a sliding tackle but usually that involves both legs. The real contact between the two players appears to be around Cirkin's knee area.

Looking at the incident in real time you can begin to understand, just begin, why the decision was made. However watching how the whole incident plays out I am convinced that the decision was made due to the Preston players surrounding the Referee and he caved in.

Angle of the ball suggests the Preston player got there first. It appears that Cirkin's left foot didn't touch the Preston player and that the Preston player fell over his leg.

Watch the highlights. The Ref awards a free kick and stops walking towards the incident.

Preston players surround him and only then does he produce the red card.

There is no reaction from the linesman.

As I said in the match thread if the Referee thinks that Cirkin's tackle warrants a straight red card then surely he gives it immediately without worrying about a free kick.

I still don't think that Cirkin's tackle was out of control or reckless. Even the two Preston fans in the video posted think it wasn't a red.

Hunter, I think you are looking at the first half too deeply. Conceding after 20 seconds would have been a shock to the system. Red card after 16 minutes and the remaining ten players would have been thinking WTF exactly the same as us.

I do understand what you are saying but I am not going to concentrate on that first half because we won't see one like it again. A rare Jimmy stumble and mistake followed by the red card. If you watch the Referee he awards a free kick and only later produces a card after he is surrounded by the Preston players. In my opinion if the Referee is convinced that Cirkin's tackle warrants a straight red card then he is producing it immediately and not worrying about a free kick. No reaction from the linesman either who is right next to the action.

As always fine margins.

Can't blame anyone for really celebrating a nearly last minute equaliser especially one like that!

At the beginning of the season forwards seemed to be the least of our worries. But with Kone's injuries and form, whatever is happening with Kolli it is now a concern. No sign of Obikwu today either.

Hopefully Kone and Kolli will available in three weeks time and of course it's very positive the amount of chances that we create, there is a good chance that things will improve sooner rather than later.

To be fair this squad is already very tight and together which helped see us through today.

Wonderful second half performance, impossible to tell which team were down to ten men. We just kept going and going.
