This. And it always annoys me when americanisations somehow seep into our language, not only spellings but phrases; if I hear one more c*nt asking in a restaurant or boozer "can I get......." I swear I'm going to deck him. Yes, you can f*cking get it, f*ck off to sainsburys. |

I lasted exactly three months in employment before embarking on the dubious pleasures of self-employment, so I'm not qualified to comment on headhunting. The way I'd see it though is that if someone offers you half as much again as your current employers, either they'll want twice as much work out of you, or your present lot are underpaying you. You want to be pretty damn sure which it is before you fly the coop. |

He's right though Del, the first goal was handball in the buildup. You could see our defenders switch off precisely at the handball, and as soon as the ref played on it looked like a goal was coming, and against the run of play really. We had, I think, about 60% (?) possession up til then and looked the better side early on. The first goal was either a defensive f*ck up, as neville suggested, or a very unlucky deflection that Gazzaniga would have otherwise had covered, which tbh is more how I saw it. From then on, we were chasing the game, and with our cast-iron defence.....
That said, yep, we were well beaten. Rickie was as uncertain tonight as Ive ever seen him, you could normally put money on any ball from Lambert not to go astray; tonight they were going anywhere but a teammate, and if he'd been on song that header would have been buried. He looked off the pace to me. J-Rod was busy, but not enough to take up the strain.
Mixed feelings for me. Looks like being a long season.

I used to live on Vesta curries as a pauperised student, their chow meins were good as well. Dont knock them til youve tried them....

There was a rumour at the time about dalglish trying desperately to get MLT as well as shearer, and offering him loads more money plus a bigger transfer fee, but he wasnt interested in straying too far from guernsey. Lucky for us, really. I also recall a radio interview with jack walker where he said he had given dalglish a blank cheque and told him "if you want them, go out and get them regardless of cost", might have been the first time a chairman openly admitted that? |
