Exactly! The league 1 team that got us into the PL, kept us up first season and finished 9th second season has moved on, aged or suffered injuries. They have been replaced by big money signings that have zero fight and no passion for the club. You won't be listening to AFCB fans singing our ridiculous 'the south coast is ours' song at St Mary's next season! |

Remember Wilson wasn't a top player when we signed him he was in L1 with Coventry. Also sales do fund purchases we sold Mousset and Mings for about £30-35 million in the summer. |

So shall we assume a weakened Saints side, with several reserve/youth players, on the 20th September against us so you can fully focus on the 'real' south cost derby? |

Well it looks like we will both be around for another season. With you 6pts clear of Cardiff and having a much better goal difference you can no doubt look forward to the usual charitable benevolence from AFCB on Saturday to rubber stamp your status? I hope we finally win at St Mary's and you stay up anyway just so we can tick something else off our list. I think it would be fun to have Pompey in the top flight too...all 3 central Southcoasters in the PL. It would certainly be good to view the Saints-Pompey top flight rivalry again....from a safe distance in Dorset! |

I think most Bournemouth fans realise this is not going to develop into a passionate local derby. We have played at St Mary's five time in recent years so the novelty has worn off. Geographically Saints are the closest of the 92 league teams to Dean Court so people will look forward to the day out. Post-Eddie? Well we have spent most of our history in the third flight so I fear we will be back there sooner or later. With no new expanded stadium in sight I fear the only legacy of the PL years will be the memories. Oh for a stadium such as....St Mary's! |

No worries popped on here a couple of times previously before AFCB games at St Mary's. Not looking at creating any myths just pointing out size means nothing. Tbh North Stand Chat is far worse than this forum for putting us down. I am sure you must have experienced their own unique brand of BS? Brighton 0 AFCB 5 sort of ended their usual infrastructure lecture fairly abruptly. |

Strange....what makes you think that? Only ever been to Fratton Park four times each time Bournemouth were the away team. I'll let you draw the logical conclusion.... |

Torquay away is a good day out, one thing that was good about the lower leagues. When was the last time you guys played a league game at Plainmoor ha ha? |

You are bigger than us but so are Bradford City so why should it be a given? We are both also runs in the money mad league so does it really matter that much who is the South Coast number 1? No doubt you will beat us at St Mary's, as usual, and maybe finish above us....a cause to celebrate for you? Anyway Southampton away is a good day out visiting the real ale pubs of St Deny's so I hope you stay up and it looks like you will comfortably. |

M'mm I think our record at St Mary's speaks for itself. Good point about Ajax keeping their squad together. I guess you know full well about the big clubs raiding your squad as you have been stiffed repeatedly by Liverpool over the years. |

Yes clearly we are going for 14 straight away defeats to finish the season in great style. Let's be honest if you are desperate for 3pts when we play at St Mary's you and I both know you will get it. To change the subject any of you chaps watching Real Madrid v Ajax tonight? Tadic has been bloody amazing! |

Got to start somewhere? Didn't get out of divisions 3/4 until 86/87. Not much we don't know about Hartlepool/Rochdale away etc |

5 minutes? It's our fourth season actually but we readily admit that we can't match your trophy littered history. Certainly not assuming anything about tomorrow as we do have a habit of performing badly against you. |

Sorry no we are not Stoke! Good luck tonight. As I said before the game last week I enjoy away games in Southampton. Good real ale pubs and actually some atmosphere in the stadium unlike most of our PL away days. |

Not sure a huge number of fans post on our forum relative to other PL teams and it may not be truly representative. Do you really believe the vast majority of our fans are gagging for a day out in Swansea after a lengthy journey rather than a nice easy trip 30 miles up the road and a bit of local rivalry? |
