Agreed and most teams will know where their season lies by Jan anyway. If they are that concerned then they should stack their teams with the stars in the first place. It is not the lower leagues teams fault that their B teams can't beat them first time of asking. Don't whine, try harder! |

If they are just switching the dates but retaining the format of a home and away fixture with the same team then the timeframe between boxing day and new years day is 6 days, for the Easter period it is only 3 days. |

I believe the word was he did not do as well as south shields expected based on budget versus that of the rest of the division and so got shut of him. There wasn't much of a queue of teams trying to snap him up when he did become free though. |

| Forum Reply | Fan Survey on playing style at 19:33 26 Apr 2024
It is already here, there is a Fan Controlled Football league in the US. At the outset, fans buy an NFT that attaches them to a team and gives them voting power. Then, every Wednesday, fans participate in a live draft to determine the players and teams that will play that week. The condensed version of an outdoor football game (7 vs. 7 competition) is played on a 50-yard field in a high-tech arena and streamed live on various platforms. Using the mobile app, fans can vote on which plays to run during the one-hour game. For example, when the team is on offense, fans can vote to “run” or “pass” and then pick one of four diagramed play options. Within 15 seconds, the coach is informed and tells the team the play that won the vote; fans then watch as the play unfolds on the field. It would also be a way of attracting the Gen Z/millennial to football as well. |

I think the board and the manager have had their prove it year and it didn't go that well. I appreciate SPO wants continuity, just hope that he puts in place a board member that knows what they are doing or at least trains the current board. Then if things do not improve then they can make the required decision at an appropriate time during the season, preferably by the end of Nov to coincide with marketing the xmas games bundle. Final attendance for Rochdale v Borehamwood 1,797. The more worrying statistic, which only style of football and results can change. |

You would have thought that they may have practiced penalties from their last visit to wembley though. |
| Forum Reply | Boreham Wood at home take 3! at 18:15 17 Apr 2024
No he should definitely NOT continue in the role. He has demonstrated that he is not fit for purpose and I hope that SPO can see that. It was under the current boards watch that we didn't nearly make the end of the season financially and the decision to pay of some loans and not ensure we had the money to complete the season is not the skill set you want in the board room. New board, new manager, new playing style are required or the 1700 attendances will become the new normal. Which may be compounded with the inevitable ticket price rise ahead of the new season. |

Replacing Jim may be one solution to drive season ticket sales. Standard has been bang average and only been to 3 - altrincham (good), ebbsfleet (bad), fylde (ugly). Have dropped below and watched teams further down the pyramid because they are more attacking and delighted that you have turned up. Atherton Laburnum Rovers, Jarrow v Blyth Town (I had no idea Blyth had 2 teams), Atherton Colls, Daisy Hill, Spennymoor, Farsley Celtic, Heaton Stannington, West Allotments Celtic and West Didsbury & Chorlton v Wythenshawe Town where there were 1320 in attendance. Wythenshawe Town are in second in north west counties prem level on points but with inferior goal difference and the team top are Wythenshawe. Although Bury would go up of they won their remaining 2 fixtures - they are playing at FCUM tomorrow as their pitch is waterlogged. Playoff final is at the highest placed teams ground. |

Last time we hit an average of over 4,000 a week was 1970/71. Closest there has been was the 2018/19 season 3,574 average. |

Can't see them returning, when the club were in trouble at Underhill they approached the Council for assistance who flatly refused and that was pre pressure on council finances times. The Council didn't want football in the borough only cricket and rugby. |

I don't think there would have been many takers because everyone will use the £175 sandy ticket as a comparator that provides entrance to 23 games equating to £7.60 a game. The current offer of £120 for an 8 game bundle may attract a few (I personally don't think it will as there is no jeopardy involved - promotion or relegation) but, based on the season ticket pricing, this ticket is massively overpriced and should have been priced at £60 (the exact amount is £60.87). Why am I going to pay £120 for 8 when I can get another 15 for £55, which would be the season ticket. As stadium occupancy is only 22 - 23%, that is an opportunity missed because the matchday experience is certainly not being sold on entertainment at all. |

One of the major reasons for the loss was lack of a deep threat from Bills wide receivers, Diggs does not cut it anymore, his stats: This year Chiefs this year he had 3/8 for 21 yds and 2 drops. His lack of deep ball threat meant that the Chiefs did not have to double team him and were more able to stop the run and they just had to cover Snead. Last year Elimination loss to Cincy he recorded 4 catches for 35 yds Year prior Divisional round loss to Chiefs he had 3 catches for 7 yds Bills will have to figure out how to get Allen more help next season and maybe trade away Diggs, which will be a monster of a job with his 4 years at $22m still to come his way. |
