Kieffer Moore has scored 6 goals in 10 appearances for Ipswich. He has been a major part in re-igniting Ipswich's season. We should have landed him as he would have done a job for us. RM must be held responsible for failing to get automatic promotion. The squad was there, but....his incessant tinkering and this stubborn playing out from the back has cost us. Will he do the same in the play offs? On another note, Wilcox and Man U. I dare say, failure in the play offs will see numerous players going and maybe the manager as well. Frustrating is not the word as it is all so predictable. Seemingly not to the powers to be at SMS. |

As you say, many of these so called stars now desperate to get away underperformed. They also showed very little stomach for a scrap. Guts, application and fight are much needed assets in the division we now find ourselves in. The club now find themselves in an ever increasing problem. Holding out for a certain amount of money is one thing but, every club in the Prem knows we need to sell to rebuild, every club also knows that the team, as a collective has no heart. JWP was the captain during the disastrous relegation season.... With the Wednesday game drawing ever closer, vital time is being lost. With games coming thick and fast after the trip to Sheffield, we are in severe danger of losing vital momentum in our quest for promotion. |

I was given a free ticket for the Bournemouth v West Ham game. Ruben Selles was there as well. He saw what I saw. Bournemouth cannot defend crosses. Three of the four WHU goals came from this inability to defend crosses/corners. Now, I know what I would do on Thursday.....pepper their penalty area with crosses, play Big Paul and get physical. Also, our players must know that anything but a win and we are down.....especially if other results go against us. On Thursday there can be no excuses......especially after our heroics against Arsenal. It is up to Selles and our players now..... |

With only 11 games left we are chalking off the games. Today is a must win game. The Brentford game was a body blow. Defeat today will be more than that, especially if the teams around us pick up points. AND....Selles has got to start his strongest 11. I am still smarting from seeing the line up on Wednesday. Selles may well have had an eye on the Spurs game but this game should have been his priority. If we had won this game, the Spurs game would have been an awful lot less pressurised. We played so well at Man U so why, oh why did he bring Diallo and especially Elyounoussi in? Elyounoussi brings very little to the table. I think most of us could see very early on that Selles' formation and tactics were not working and Brentford were raiding at will on the left wing . And AGAIN, we bemoan the fact we conceded a soft goal and we cannot score. Copy and paste every game. A costly defeat....especially if KWP is going to be out for a while. |

Anthony Taylor ignored the baying Old Trafford mob to send Casimero off. Yet, he did not dare caution Fernadez for his constant berating of himself. Saints did very, very well to hold their nerve. If anyone ever thinks or thought smaller teams get a fair deal at the big boys, this is the latest example of bias towards the big clubs.
On another note, Rasmus Ankersen must be hoping and praying Selles can pull off a minor miracle as it is becoming abundantly clear that, should we go down, Jones' tenure against the teams around us, will have cost us our lucrative status. |

A lot of chicken's are now coming home to roost...big time. Ralp did wonders in keeping us up with one hand tied around his back but he simply ran out of rabbits to pull out of hat. Don't blame the fans for voicing their frustration at these dreadful runs we have gone on...this one fatal. Don't blame the fans for a transfer policy as misguided as it is arrogant. Don't blame the fans for an inept board. Many of us have seen this car crash coming a long way off and have been vilified for it. Many fans face acost of living crisis but the still turn up to support their team and are let down week in week out. My big fear is now our board trying to guide us out the championship at the first time of asking
Judging by the utterly inept and criminal way they got us relegated...we must harbour more than severe doubts. |

Out of the 20 games we have accumulated 15 points which equates to 0.75 points per game.
Assuming, 38 points is safety, we need another 23 points or, 1.28 points per game. This is the improvement we are looking for and it looks daunting. The margins for error are becoming smaller and smaller. |

When NJ was appointed, I was gob smacked. My mood was not lightened by the dismal performances after the world cup. The three consecutive wins, apart from Man City, were not convincing but, they showed resilience and fight. Especially the Everton game saw a Saints team which prevailed in one of the most hostile environments ever encountered by SFC. For me, the jury is still out on NJ. But, if we can despatch Villa on Saturday, I'll start believing. I'll be very happy to ear humble pie on NJ. |

Fans are perfectly entitled to voice their opinions. No one can convince me 2022 was a year some dreadful decisions were made culminating in appointing a rookie manager to get us out of an increasingly desperate position. Some of us go along with it whereas some of us have voted with our feet. Sunday will tell us where we are. Happen to think Ralph did wonders in keeping us up but that job engulfed him in the end. Looking back on Ralph's sacking, NJ was in the frame very quickly after that. I certainly agree that if we persevere with NJ we are doomed. I would go as far as saying we won't win another game this season. One day, we'll find out the thinking behind NJ's appointment. There might even be a Holywood movie out on it in the future. |

Nick, we have been trying to run a Rolls Royce on paraffin for too long. Tonight, yet again, we are handed a lifeline. Of course we all want 3 points and, I for one, don't care how we achieve them. But, tomorrow, hopefully on 15 points, the club really has start to show some ambition, some clear thinking and a strategy away from the bottom 6. You complain about "some" fans and their desire to be proved right and how they crave a miserable defeat tonight to make their case. Everyone is perfectly entitled to their view but to suggest this is as outlandish as it is crass. The owners and the board now have the ball in their court. Nick, we can argue all day long as to whether Ralph should have been sacked. I think he should have gone in the summer. Imo, he did a good but thankless job in keeping us up during his tenure. The timing of Ralph's sacking did make sense as it would give the new manager the time and space to work with the squad. WHAT shocked us all was the new appointment. Defeat against Notts F will probably be curtains. I was expecting the much needed new players booted and spurred to come in new year's day....especially a striker. The more we look at the owners and the powers to be......the more you despair. This is no way to run a premiership club. Tbh, the way we are going they won't be running a premiership club much longer....and then you really do worry! |

"Those who wanted Ralph out are now seeing that the grass is not always greener". I thought Ralph had done wonders keeping us up against the odds during his tenure. But, it was clear after the season had finished we needed a change. Ralph had run his course. The board should have acted in the summer. A much needed striker was not brought in and the appointment of a rookie manager in our predicament with this run of games coming up is starting to look like sheer incompetence. Today and the Forrest game will have to garner at least 3 points. Anything less, and we could be adrift already. Let us hope NJ has learnt from the Brighton game...... |
