Ended up 4-1
Very entertaining game.
Kolli played all the second half. Couldn’t fault effort / attitude. Couple of attempts on goal. Good clearing header from a corner etc etc.
Should be in the squad next Saturday. Please!
Hopefully positive clarifications on Fans Forum. It was a joy to see his familiar deceptive style, all be it against weaker opponents.
Noticeably performance of team dropped when the other subs came on, but overall a good team performance. |

What’s clear is that the DS model is to mirror the first team., right down to kicking straight out of play from the kick off!
So the keeper, Salomon today has to copy Charles. Making a pretty good stab at it. One good save. Could have been sent off giving away a penalty but it was off side.
All the defenders were calm in possession. I like Friel at right back
Alemayehu mainly strolling around in the middle of the park.
As I suspected Sutton standing out. |

Kolli is named as a sub
Also Alemayehu, fresh from first team duty, starts.
Also Esquerdinha plays and Sutton, very much the forgotten man with Scarlett moved up that pecking order. |

As a chap with clearly too much time on his hands I’ve paid for a season’s pass to watch the Devs and the ladies games. So far it’s great fun! Game v Huddersfield just finished. Lost 3-1.
Observations..
Clearly plan is to model the first team..playing out from the back etc. when it works it’s very pleasing on the eye
The current bunch have plenty of skill but are pretty young with most of the better players on loan or moved on. The keeper Warren looks promising but the stand out player was Sutton ( remember him?!) loads of skill and great attitude.scored the goal.
Final score was a little harsh I felt. Bigger boys came!
What amused me was the audible coaching.. reminds me of when I coached the Under 9’s. Especially the helpful bellowing out of a countdown whenever their keeper had the ball at a restart. |

I watched it but to be honest it’s pretty hard to follow! I’d say he had a good run out! Actually a fun game to watch with lots of similarities to first team in approach to the game which I found encouraging! |

I decided to push the boat out and fork out £30 to watch the DS and ladies for the season. ( too much time on my hands?)
On last nights showing will be fun!
I like the idea of knowing who someone is when a mysterious sub appears on the list.
Very hard to gauge how strong the opposition was..they actually looked really good in patches, as did we. The difference was more of our efforts went in..and they had a few near misses.
One thing..a refreshing watch..no play acting, loads of skill, loads of effort, several howlers. All in all great fun. |

Just finished my £3 worth. Actually enjoyable, though no commentary meant guess work on who was who. Entertaining game. We won 2-0 in the end. What was unusual was the view from the S Africa road side. I like the look of our Swedish youngster who scored the first goal and was constantly involved. |

I’ve had one for a few years and it’s pretty good..but we did need a new boiler and our village doesn’t have gas, so had been oil. I’d give a thumbs up, but depends on individual circumstances of course. I actually found this thread more useful than any other source..which is great testament to the quality of discourse on this admirable site! |
