Ashley Grimes headed a list of released players, as Keith Hill brought forward the announcement of this year's released list.

Grimes and Kevin McIntyre were the stand out names on the released list, with the duo both having played in 38 out of our 45 league games so far this season. 

Ritchie Jones, Terry Gornell and Andy Haworth had all been on short term deals, with Hill deciding that they would not get the offer of a longer deal.

Keith Hill opted not to retain the services too of some of the younger players, with Neill Byrne, Matty Pearson, and Matty Edwards all heading for the exit door.

It is assumed that the loaned out Craig Curran and Dele Adebola will not be receiving new contracts at the end of their loan spells.

This leaves Dale with six players contract for next season with Bobby Grant, George Donnelly and Josh Lillis all having another twelve months on their current contacts, whilst Peter Cavanagh, Reece Gray and Godwin Abadaki have all had their deals extended automatically due to contract clauses.

New deals are to be offered to Rhys Bennett, Phil Edwards, Jason Kennedy, Ian Henderson, Michael Rose, Andrew Tutte, Joe Rafferty and Steve Collis.

A further deal will see Brian Barry-Murphy become a member of the coaching staff whilst retaining his player contract.
