The R’s end of the Premier League — Open All R’s Podcast

QPR’s head of youth Steve Gallen is the guest on the final podcast of the season talking about his successful Under 18s team and Michael Harriman’s impressive first team showing on Sunday.

Gallen’s Under 18s side won the national division this year, beaten Leeds and then Huddersfield in the play offs. Peter Skapetis scored the only goal of the final against Huddersfield at Loftus Road last week.

Gallen told the podcast regulars: “We’re all very proud of the lads, it was a great achievement. To have it at Loftus Road makes it very special. We won the league last year which was brilliant and that’s three on the bounce, but Michael Harriman making a first team start at Liverpool is up there as well. I was coaching Michael Harriman every day for four years and he’s a special lad, a fantastic kid. That ranks up there for me. I try not to lose sight of the main focus, getting boys in the first team, but winning the cup at Loftus Road was brilliant.”

As well as Gallen, host Dave Fraser was joined by regulars Paul Finney, Chris Charles and Chris Mendes for this final Open All R’s of the season.
